Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThere was no air conditioning. We tried turning it on, but no cool air was coming out. We couldn’t even open the window the whole way because the curtain rack was in the way.
Great location with friendly staff.

United StatesI am not sure if the AC was actually working. It was very hot in the rooms. We had 3 rooms and all of them were very hot even though we turned on the AC. One of the rooms was so hot that they proactively placed a fan in the room when we first checked in. One of toilet seat wasn't secure, so moved when you sat down. One of the shower backed up water, but the staff was able to fix that relatively quickly.
Location was great and the staff was all really nice and friendly. The room is clean and quite spacious.

South AfricaReally hot and stuffy in the room without air conditioning (the windows don’t open and the ventilation system is old, so the fan just circulates warm air). Lots of stains on the sheets, curtains, and walls. The shower also didn’t drain properly.
Friendly and helpful staff members, capsule coffee machines in the rooms and a convenient location near Vondel Park and the Museum Quarter.

BelgiumOur room just had a view of a roof. There is no elevator, so do not recommend if you have mobility issues or a lot of luggage. Also wish there might have been more shelfs like in the shower for example.
Very conveniently located. Close to Rijksmuseum and trams. Room was decently clean. It was nice that there was free coffee and tea at the lobby and in the room. Staff was nice and present all day. Room had ac which was nice since we were there during a heat wave.

Great location for the Leidesplein and museums. Our room was quite spacious and a decent bathroom. Day staff really helpful and friendly.

LuxembourgUnfortunately, the room was not in good condition. The walls had leaks, the bathroom had mold, and some areas were visibly dirty. To make matters worse, the air conditioning didn’t work, making the room extremely hot. The front desk did provide a fan for the night (which helped a little), and they mentioned they’d send maintenance to check the mold—but no one ever came, and we never got an update. It was disappointing, especially given the otherwise great location.
What I liked most about the property was its fantastic location. It’s just a few steps away from the city center, making it incredibly convenient to explore everything. Highly recommend for those who want to be close to the center with a cheaper option.

United StatesMy room was on the 3rd level. I had to drag my heavy bag up multiple flights of a narrow, winding staircase. I'm not a young person and had booked a basement room. The only staff person I saw was the desk clerk, so no help with my bag. Asked if there was a room on a lower floor and was told no. I had another reservation for a return stay later that week and I cancelled it. Just couldn't see myself struggling with my luggage again up about six flights of stairs.
Room and bathroom were nice.

NetherlandsThe staff was unfortunately quite rude during our stay. Additionally, our room’s windows directly overlooked the restaurant’s garden area, offering little to no privacy, we could clearly see diners from our room. As a result, we felt compelled to keep the curtains closed throughout our entire visit.

IrelandWhen I arrived to check in the young woman on reception was in the middle of a personal call and I had to stand and wait until she decided to acknowledge me, she then kept the phone to her ear and tried to keep on with her conversation while dealing with me.
I enjoyed how you could get in the main entrance all night using your room key, handy vending machine on bottom floor, cosy clean room, the cleaners were lovely

TurkeyThere was no elevator, we had to carry our luggages up and down four floors. The pillows were standard, and it was very high for me to sleep comfortably.
The staff was nice, and multiple trams were accessible in walking distance. The room was clean, and the hotel was in good condition in general. For the four friends group, it was ideal for us to be able to stay in the same room. The size of the room was also good.

United KingdomFor the money it’s very hard to be picky. Maybe my basement room was a little unexpected and access to it not great. But Amsterdam properties do have narrow stairs tbh. Maybe the pre auth of credit card could have been clearer as looked like double charge but again resolved very swiftly by staff.
It’s a very good value hotel for the location. You don’t get lots of frills like views or extra facilities, the decor is basic and no breakfast facilities. But it’s clean, comfy, staff responded to questions and the location is ideal on central outer ring. Lots of shops, cafes, transport within close walking distance. Also was quiet stay with low/ no noise disturbances. Room was little noisy with air con but stafff hallled reduce that for me. Had a very nice ensuite too,

MalaysiaRoom very stuffy, ventilation fan not really working, no tooth brush, toothpaste nor shaver provided. Battery to door lock not maintained or checked, our door's battery was completely flat, locking us out, until it was changed by a reception guy later. The bed mattress is not good for your back. Does not support your spine. Unable to open room windows for fresh air, hence, room stuffiness.
Closeness to town, quiet room, towels changed daily, showers were strong and hot.
