To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomRoom was spacious and everything was very clean. Great location - quiet and within walking distance to the major museums. Close to tram stop too. Some nice cafes/brunch spots nearby. They left some chocolates out for us on my partner's birthday too which was a nice touch. Would recommend this hotel for a stay in Amsterdam.

United KingdomThe bed mattress was a bit too firm. The decor of the room is a bit dated and the bathroom was also quite dated. Also the online checkout didn’t work.
The room was a very good size and had a good view. The bed was also a good size. I liked having an online portal where I could order room service and other stuff. Also we didn’t hear anyone in the rooms next to us so good soundproofing.

Clean, quiet, spacious room, with view of the canal. I especially liked the Nespresso machine, nice touch! The hotel location was perfect for my business trip, Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choices, nice staff. The hotel bar was super, again friendly staff. In fact, all contacts with staff were excellent - friendly, helpful, knowledgeable.

United States of AmericaMinor notes -- Fixtures in the generous sink-top area were beginning to show their age. There was some wear showing in the bottom of the bathroom mirror and hairline cracks around the sink drain. Had to step over the tub sill to get into the shower. Still had a cutout for a phone in the cabinetry, with no phone. I don't believe there was an evening restaurant in the hotel (we didn't see any), but there was a bar. Had to hike bags up the entrance steps to get to the front desk.
The room was lovely in a Danish modern kind of way -- great view of Amsterdam at a rooftop level. Lots of excellent restaurants just across the nearby canal bridge (a short 10-minute walk). Short walk to major museums, and right on a canal.
