That there wasn't a vegan option for breakfast, although the staff did make an effort to bring me some fruit and non dairy yoghurt so I had something to eat.

We had to change rooms on arrival as ours had a ladder to the bed, given the steep roof lines. Once of us has mobility issues so this was not acceptable. Luckily there was an alternate room available but we should have been warned in advance about the challenge of the room assigned to us.

I am really nit picking because there wasn't anything that bothered me. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays but there are plenty of options within walking distance. There is no lift once the front desk is closed for the night but they did make this clear in the booking request.

The staff are amazingly helpful, and they will do whatever they can to make your stay better. The hotel is beautiful, a great mix of a historic building with modern decor. The room is filled with modern luxuries and is very clean. The bed was very comfortable and I got a great night's sleep. The breakfast was brilliant with a all you can eat made to order menu.

There is no elevator but the staff was more than happy to move our luggage. We are senior citizens and this would have posed the problem had they not been so wonderful.

The staff was exceptional, very friendly and very efficient. They certainly wanted to please us. The food was very good and the area was wonderful to walk around in.

The room and facilities really had no deficiencies to speak of.

Posh and pampering set up. I was there over Easter and they provided a nice hollow chocolate Easter egg, with more chocolate goodies - it was on a plate with glass over it waiting for me. They had safe storage for my bike. Very easy walking distance to the core. The ceilings are like 20 feet high! 😁

The bed was a lot firmer than we are used to. But that was a tiny thing, hardly worth mentioning.

the decor was luxurious but comfortable and both rooms we had were beautifully styled as was the whole hotel. the little Easter treats left in the room and the way everyone is so friendly and helpful makes it an amazing hotel.

Small beautiful historic hotel. The opposite of a sterile hotel experience. Location is right in the middle of town and everything was in walking distance. Staff was very friendly and even accommodated a early check-in. I would definitely stay here again and will be recommending it to friends.

The lighting in the bathroom is very cosy, though for my liking, could be a bit more.

The hotel is in the heart of town and is beautifully restored and all features considered. The style is unique, clever and charming, a real gem. The staff a wonderful, all options at breakfast beautifully prepared or as it would seem, locally sourced. Amenities are eco-friendly in bigger pumps - so well done about not using little one way Shampoo etc.

Only thing I would tweak is maybe a little more lighting in the shower area, but not an issue at all.

Beautiful building right in the centre, near the church and museum. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Room was beautifully decorated, full of character and had a luxurious feel. Very helpful with parking advice and reserved a space for us in advance, which was super.

Missing a little variety , pehaps a buffet or the real English Breakfast : ) however this is not a negative it's just a tip . I loved the interations with all personnel and staff. lvoely bunch of welcoming people. made me feel at home . Thanks Also the owners are exceptionally approachable , hospitality and great customer service is imbedded in this establishement in the heart of Gouda .

Room 41 could do with some protection against persistent background noise from some machinery in the attic late at night and early in the morning. Bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to that.

Staff are just wonderful. The restaurant amazing. Perfect location and entourage. The beds and bed linnen are a dream. A true gem in the middle of Gouda.
