We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

CanadaRooms in Europe are small so my room did not have a closet. Hotel remedied by providing hangers to hang clothes could on the back of the door - the hangers were very helpful. Thank you. Only suggestion is to add additional hooks or pegs along the wall to provide additional hanging space.
The location was perfect. Close to many restaurants, shopping and attractions. Also close to various Tram routes and Central Station so very accessible and convenient. In additions the amenities offered by the hotel such as fridge and ironing area to mention a few made the trip very comfortable. And All the staff were extremely hopeful.

United StatesEven though the hotel had a lift, to get to the room it required going up steps to a small landing, down several stairs to a very small landing, then again up the same amount of stairs. Mind you, this is an old building and the stairs were very narrow. Not easy managing this with two suit cases. And, the room number was so far down the hall, away from the lift, you couldn’t see it, which made things confusing. The desk clerk seemed bothered by my question about where the room was since I couldn’t see the number. “It’s on the wall.” Finally found the room and two young ladies helped me navigate my suitcases down and up the narrow stairs.

NetherlandsTV did not work but we were offered a different room. It was very dangerous going into the bathroom. The top track for the sliding shower door projected into the doorway making it easy to hit your head when trying to enter the bathroom and the bottom track also projected into the doorway making it easy to stump your toe. Extremely awkward.
