Check in was too complcated and check inn computer was out of order and could not be repaired in the weekend. A good back up was not available and we had to walk to the main hotel 800 meters further to pick up the room key…we were compensated with a free wine for the inconvenience

Nothing we didn’t like about the property itself. Only thing, the booking.com check in information is made up of lots of different messages clearly copied and pasted, making it unnecessarily complicated, and contradictory. It includes downloading an app which was a right faff and even then didn’t work. There’s a phone number for the main hotel included in those instructions. Save yourself a whole heap of time and concern and ring that straightaway instead. Sorted!

Wow! What a place! The room itself is more like a suite, with a very large bathroom area, separate large sleeping room (with incredibly high ceilings and chandelier) and everything you could need, or may have forgotten. Free parking out the back, too. Our package had breakfast included at their sister hotel (short walk/ drive) which was delicious (and plentiful) so that was also much appreciated. The village of VALKENBURG is a really bustly place, nice architecture and lots of choice of places to eat. And the countryside around is beautiful too - we did a great fifty mile bike ride from the door, for those who like that kind of thing! Thoroughly recommended.

Very good location and a nice room, everything has to be done online or on a check in consul at the hotel, no humans ! Breakfast is in a hotel about 800 metres away.

No personal service , didn’t like key access didn’t work had to use code which then was ok , and no airconditioning which to me is a must !

Beautiful historic villa in the town with good free parking on site. The villa is owned and run by the Park Hotel nearby. The room (room 804) on the upper ground floor was very large with very comfortable twin beds. The bathroom was spectacular with a separate bath and shower. A fan was provided in the bedroom which was appreciated. A kettle was also provided. Breakfast was superb including a cooked option. The staff were very helpful especially Karen who looks after the villa. So glad we found this place and would definitely stay here again.

The no human check-in/out facility is a deal breaker for this property especially for older people. It's always out of order and you need to go to it's sister hotel to get your room key.

Location was perfect. Most attractions can be reached on foot. Breakfast hostess Karen is the best. She's definitely this Villa's saving grace.

Lack of doors in the bathroom / toilet. Snails coming in trough the open window and leaving slime marks on bags and clothes.

No human check in. We received an email with a number and code to open the door but the codes didn't work. After that, you have to check in digitally on a screen downstairs. An older couple left the hotel because they could not handle this automated system. Shame.

Great location, beautiful building + room (with heigh ceiling) and styling. We loved the spaciousness! Also, host Robert was super friendly and welcoming when we had our breakfast in the morning. We will definitely come back again.

Check-in was a nightmare. The machine in the Villa was down and there were no clear instructions. I installed apps for electronic keys ahead of time, all a waste of time. We had to cross town to go to the hotel to get room keys. Everything would have been rated excellent if the check-in would have been a smooth experience

That during our stay a lot was closed in Valkenburg. On a Tuesday we did not expect that

breakfast was great, check in also good. Beatifull room in awesome building. In our case it was a quiet night, but when it would have been crowded in the evening, we certainly would have heard some noise

Access on arrival was problematic - we hadn't received the room access code that we should have, and then the automated check-in system didn't work... Phoned reception at the main hotel and they were very helpful and sent someone straight away. So they recovered well - but need to make their system more reliable!

Very nice spacious and comfortable room and a good location. The pool at the "parent" hotel is available for use and it is a good indoor pool. We also ate dinner at the main hotel and were impressed by the food - possibly our best dinner out all holiday

The messaging around the online check-in process could have been a bit clearer, but once there it was actually very simple to get in.

From some of rooms you can hear folks walking in the room upstairs, though it wasn’t a problem for us. The whole villa is stairs only so can be challenging if you have any mobility issues.

Great location, lovely historical buidling, spacious rooms with large and comfortable facilities in room. Free parking was a big plus too.

The check-in experience was terrible. We only manage to enter because there were some other guests coming out and, as they had the bad experience themselves, they were able to assist us on it.

The bath in our room was leaking, had to use 2 towels around the perimeter. And before the breakfast our key stopped working, we had to call the reception who took some time to let us in.
