Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Breakfast was a little disappointing - not what it looked like on the website. The visitor tax is quite high

Very welcoming hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Great location within easy walking distance of all the main sights and in a lovely neighbourhood. Chose not to have breakfast as we are not breakfast people, however the hotel was really nice for late night drink and nightcap at the end of the day and we did that most nights. Rooms were cosy with all the key amenities. Would definitely recommend and go back again.

The air conditioner was slightly noisy but for me personally that's not really a complaint.
Staff were very courteous and welcoming. The location is about 5 to 10 minutes away from a huge range of restaurants and the metro station.

The hotel is noisy. The AC fan in the room needs maintenance, you can hear people walking around, talking, water hammer in the pipes. We didn’t sleep well.
The property has a good location and clean. The staff and bar tenders were all very welcoming and nice. The street is pretty quiet.

Breakfast ok, but kitchen/restaurant understaffed so many things needed topping up which took a long time. Some staff very helpful, others seem not to hve a clue what they were supposed to do. Front desk staff parly professional, but one very cheeky with guests.
Location is great. Some staff very helpful. Rooms comfortable enough.

The staff was very friendly. When I first entered the hotel, I wasn’t sure it was kind of like a maze getting to your room. Once you got in the rooms they were large and they provide extras. That other hotels do not.

Our third stay. First stay, initially had a ground floor room. Clearly cannot have curtains open after dusk, and every footstep outside could be heard. Moved rooms, and second room had truly dangerous open wooden staircase between areas. Outside corridor not carpeted and large gap under door, so every person heard moving past room, or talking. Had to stuff towel under door gap to try to lessen noise. Second stay: asked for, and got, room at top. 4th floor. Good room and quiet. Third stay: booked supposedly executive room (“as high as possible” explicitly requested. Got room on ‘second’ floor (I.e. floor above ground. Window did not close properly, so very noisy. Above entrance area of hotel and all noise traveled up to room. Woken at 6am with the laundry delivery - incredibly noisy for 45 mins with lorry, trolleys in and out etc. Requested room change. Next room, on ‘third floor’ had paper thin walls. Could hear every word spoken in room next door, and even a tap running. Totally unacceptable. Air conditioner broke, emitting a loud clattering noise, so had to turn that off before trying to sleep. This hotel has been converted from multiple properties, and clearly extremely badly and/or cheaply. It’s the sort of stay you’d expect from a student hostel in terms of sleep quality. Put simply, we will never use this hotel again. And we’d advise you not too if you fancy sleeping.
Great staff, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast excellent, good selection and all kept topped up.

Lighting in the bathroom was not the best.
Great location, the staff was extremely nice and helpful :) We got upgraded to a bigger room which was great. Everything was clean, beds were very comfortable and breakfast was amazing.

The tub/shower was a real hazard...very deep and slippery...and accident waiting to happen!
Exceptional staff, very helpful. Very helpful with elevator. Staff assisted with luggage. Walking distance to museums.
