Beautiful location with great views, easy to walk around the village. Very modern and clean with a fisherman flair. We had a little terrace where we could could enjoy our coffee in the morning.

Excellent but expensive base to explore Western Lofoten

The hotel is big and a bit like factory - but very efficient one. My rorbu was rather cramped and spartan (Ikea-style), little place to store your luggage or things, or e.g. dry you hiking gear after rain. Hot water tank is small. Technically the house can accommodate up to 4 guests but in my view two people max can feel comfortable. Panoramic windows are good to enjoy the view but there is free access for all guests to the waterfront hence sometimes you can feel lack of privacy. No safe, no TV and no air-con, the bedroom was a bit too hot to sleep sometimes. Overall I think the hotel is a bit overpriced for what it is, you pay for high season, location and view.

Hamnoy is arguably the best location for Western Lofoten, handy for both Reine, A and Sorvagen but also just 20 min to Ramberg and Fredvang. The hotel occupies the entire islet with restaurant, fish&chips place and bakery on site + two more at walking distance at neighbouring islet. There is a self-service laundry room (NOK100 per wash or dry) and enough parking, but you would need to drive around a find a spot if come late in the evening. I booked the best room overlooking the fjord, which was simple, clean and comfortable enough. Blackout curtains in bedroom (but not in living room). Kitchen had everything you need for self-catering, even salt was there (but no oil). You get all instructions how to check-in and access the room by mail the day of arrival, no need to go to reception, but they are always there to help. Had small problem with dishwasher and reception was quick and efficient to fix it. Code-operated room lock is very convenient! In short, very convenient base to explore these part of the islands and I would recommend/book it again

Too many units. Layout was a bit awkward. Felt like we were packed in with a lot of tourists but beautiful setting.

Location. Well equipped. Nice living area. Reception was very responsive.

The beds are okay, but not perfect comfortability. The bunk beds do not seem to have slats

We were in a 2 bedroom cabin that can house 6 people. This is a steal due to the location and pricing.

The bed was a bit hard and the fire alarms are too sensitive and you have to have the stove fan on full to avoid even the kettle setting it off. Waking up early on the last day because of a neighbours alarm that then goes off in my room as well really sucked.

The location and view was exceptional. The accomodation was clean. The free ev charging was good even though it was slow. The reception was very helpful with any questions l had.

Very modest breakfast. The price/quality ratio leaves much to be desired. The bedroom is very uncomfortable and small, with virtually no access to the bed. One of us had difficulty getting to and from the bed...

The cottages are located in a super beautiful place! The spacious salon with a view of the fjord is just a fairy tale!

This place is great!! The most recognizable place in Lofoten, definitely!!! I recommend it to everyone, you will be satisfied. Very cozy rorbu with all the amenities. The house has everything you need - cutlery, microwave, kettle, heater. Clean bed linen, comfortable beds. I RECOMMEND this place!! And by the way, Kofi Annan, the former UN Secretary General, vacationed in this place!

We love Eliassen Rorbuer - this was our second year staying here. Our cabin this time was fantastic, so comfortable and cozy and we loved being right on the dock. Incredible views and perfect weather while we were staying here. We took a kayaking tour as well which was very fun and gorgeous. Really great breakfast. We went to Gadus twice last year and did the same this year, we couldn't get enough! We will definitely be back!

The bathroom sink is too small which makes it hard to use.

The cabin was small and had the essentials needed to make it a comfortable base for anyone wanting to explore the area or go on mountain walks all day.

As it was an old cabin converted for use as a holiday home, some things were impractical (the kitchen was sub-optimal and the bathroom had an old heater), but the beauty of the cabin and the landscape made up for these minor inconveniences.

A beautiful fisherman's cottage (rorbuer) in an exceptional location. It is a very beautiful place with stunning landscapes, perhaps one of the most photographed in Norway. Our cabin has even been featured on the cover of the National Geographic guide to Norway.
