We liked everything about Alpine Motel. Its located very close to the village centre. Checkin process was very smooth and staff was very helpful. Room was very comfy and clean. We also loved the dvds and books that were available.

Maybe a curtain to separate the kitchenette from the sleeping area would be nice.

The owner was nice and offered an upgrade of the room when they realised we had quite a number of luggages and the apartment on the 2nd level would not be ideal for us. To top it off, the owners went the extra mile to get me some motion sickness medicine to help me cope with the ferry for whale watch when they realised I had this problem. Thank you for the thoughtfulness!

The rooms were very cosy and comfortable - extra blankets in all the rooms, and electric blankets on the beds. Was pleasantly surprised in the warmth from the panel heaters too. Good selection of DVDs available to borrow also. Handy to lots of local attractions and scenery.

Wall heaters kept us warm but a small combustion log fire would have been perfect!

Well appointed cabin, quite big for 2 with separate bedroom. Super cosy and warm. We self catered and cooked our dinner and brekky but its a 10 min walk into Arthurs Pass village. Great spot for a base for walking in the national park or an overnighter

Excellent property, very clean and comfortable and friendly helpful staff. Great location close to Arthurs Pass township and beautiful mountain views. Would be perfect in winter when it snows. Warm and soundproofed. Well-stocked kitchen with all cooking needs (pots, pans plates, utensils, etc.). Good lighting. Good shower Excellent wifi (over 300Mbps!)

    A heater in the bathroom?

Email advising us of eating options for dinner was greatly appreciated and allowed us to plan accordingly. Room was a generous size with all that we needed.

The faucet in the bathroom was way too powerful and splashed excessively every time you turned it on. Not a big deal, just annoying.

Cute little motel in Arthur’s Pass. Has a decent kitchen if you want to cook (you probably do because the restaurants aren’t great). Friendly staff, clean room, and heated blankets on the bed!

Regretfully, the proximity to the train line means you hear them come by. I didn't realise the frequency of the trains overnight, and being a light sleeper, I was woken up each time. So, I would recommend earplugs for light sleepers.

The room was warm upon arrival, and the heating was very good. The bedding was very comfortable. A baby cot was provided on request. The basic kitchen facilities were adequate. The host provided a good spiel prior to arrival in the inbox.

I loved that I could finally book in. It is usually no vacancy. It was warm even though it was 0°. The bed was super comfy. Fi was very knowledgeable about Arthur's Pass. She answered all James questions. Will definitely be there again soon
