Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Room was quite small, but ok for 1 night stay.
Is our regular place to stay in Auckland - close to city centre, britomart, viaduct & sky tower. Has a lovely indoor heated pool, spa, sauna & gym area. Staff are also lovely and very helpful.

Bathroom was a little small for us. A sliding door would have worked better. Bath is a little smaller than what we are used to.

I'm probably being a little pernickety here to be honest, but there was some minor wear and tear issues in the room which need some attention - surface of the bath with a little rust, some fraying carpet at the kitchen area.
Location was excellent for the waterfront, Queen Street, restaurants, pubs etc, and close to the people I was wanting to see. Easy pick up and drop off for taxi/Uber. Spacious room and the kitchenette was very handy, the bathroom also a good size. Balcony was just what I wanted, not massive but a chance to open the door and look outside with a bit of fresh air (although the air conditioning worked absolutely fine). Comfy bed, surprisingly quiet given the location of the major roadway, and the receptionists were very polite.

There was a fair amount of street noise in my room, and the place is getting a bit run-down, particularly in the bathrooms.
Location was very easy to find, and reasonably accessible from my parking. Very short walk to the varied eateries and bars on the waterfront. Comfortable beds, friendly staff.

When asked for a $250 bond I was assured that the money would be refunded on leaving. this transaction did go through but it was 48 hours before I could access my money. Not acceptable I feel. I used my debit card to get immediate reimbursement and this did not happen!

The shower had a curtain which clung to you. The extractor fan didn’t extract any steam. There was a large wet patch in the hallway near our door. We think the shower leaked. The milk pods are far too small. Not enough for a hot drink in the evening & in the morning.

No outdoor furniture wardrobe light didn’t work. Freezer was completely frozen up and pots were dirty and had to wash up almost everything before use.

While a shower over the bath is fine, it is a high step over into and out of a narrow bath. Take care in choosing room as this arrangement may not suit some people.

The street noise of machinery outside the whole time was very irritating even with the doors and windows closed it still was very loud. Also our smoke alarm went off and had to listen to that for about 10minutes, the staff came up to our room and let us know it was because of the steam from having a shower that set it off. Not the staffs fault at all and he was very helpful and apologetic.

It sounded like construction work was going on all night or someone was using an angle grinder in the building next door. As a result I had a poor nights sleep.
Good location and friendly staff. It was good to be able to self park. The staff were polite and attentive.

Room was good size and bed was very confortable ineed. Shower is over the bath with a curtain and the tile grouting could do with a good scrub but that is easily fized. For the price we paid and prozimity to cruise terminal it was a great choice as regrds location, comfort and value. Yes, we would stay there gain.

Outside noise at night was a bit disturbing - traffic, people, sirens, etc. No internal noise from other guests though. Pillows were too big and hard, but that's just a personal thing.
Well-staffed reception. Quick, easy check-in and out. Room had balcony looking up to the Sky Tower. Great location within short walk to Sky Tower, Queen St and waterfront.
