There is one bedroom with 2 single beds in it - just a heads up the beds are quite short! Our 17 year old, who isn't particularly tall for his age, could only just fit in.

Kea Retreat was exactly what we expected, quite amazing that the footprint fits in 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Dishwasher was great and there is also a washing machine and dryer. Nespresso provided too, as well as linen. Checkout procedure is straightforward, no cleaning to do other than start the dishwasher. We were after clean, warm and quiet and it ticked all these boxes. Our contact was quick with communication and expectations and instructions on their part were clear. We spent two nights so we could check out Franz Josef and Fox Glacier. It was very handy to cafes and restaurants too, although we did find them to be quite expensive.

Stunning property. Washer and dryer plus a fully equipped kitchen. We hit some bad weather whilst in Franz Josef but the board games and books supplied plus Netflix kept us entertained.

In middle of the town close to everything. Tidy self contained unit with three bedrooms and cooking facilities. Two couples travelling so ideal for us both having large comfotable beds and separate bathrooms.

Clean, comfortable, quiet, and homely place to stay. Easy walking distance to everything. Very friendly host who had the heatpump on for us on arrival. Excellent kitchen and laundry. Having two bathrooms was helpful, and the large kitchen table was great for our cards' nights.

I wanted to inform hosts about our rough arrival time. The booking.com system sent me numerous messages to this effect even though hosts replied quickly.

This was an oasis of peace during a 4 week trip. Off street parking so the hire car felt safe. Hosts helpful with check in which was easy. What was not to like about the inside - it was clean, fresh, had the space in the living/kitchen/dining area that was needed. Bedrooms with comfy beds. Bathrooms were good as were the washing facilities. Kitchen had the basics needed and the coffee provided was great. Walking distance to the 4 square store and town facilities. Some previous guests had written bad things like needing to leave by 10am.!! Those people obviously are self centred. You need time to clean and prepare for following guests.

Kea Retreat was lovely! it was so nice to have all the small touches thought about and provided - lovely body wash, cleaning products, a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need and more, finally decent coffee, lovely towels and linen, kids activities and games, washing machine and dryer and all within easy walking distance to town. Everything was super close and we loved our stay. We would love to come back sometime.
