because we were staying for some days it would have been great to have a little counter stove, we struggled with the hot plate and small fry pan, but otherwise excellent. we will be back.

    Sonya was wonderful .

Just a couple of things could be improved. 1. Needs another bedside table and lamp. 2. Would be a good idea to have a sliding door on the kitchen. 3. Bit expensive but I guess that's because of location

Friendly welcome. Lovely song from Bellbirds & Tuis Very clean and tidy. Good kitchen Lovely view

No available electric sockets near bed

The cabin is a stand alone; very clean and quaint; has a fireplace (electric) for heat and looks; bathroom has its own little heater; shower has very hot water and good water pressure; 4 pillows; soft towels; wooden front porch with small table and 2 chairs; medium sized rectangle table and 2 chairs inside room; small kitchen area with fridge, cook top, microwave, dishes and cutlery; stand alone shelf/cupboard with table top space; inside of cabin is spacious; windows allow the room to be bright; furnishings are simple yet elegant - thought put into what furnishings to provide; an old wooden front door with a skeleton key; many sounds of nature; windows easily open; a little ways outside of town in a nature area; SO quiet during the day and night

Individual chalet. It was summer but I can see a stove and firewood for the cooler months. Nice and quiet and a stone throw from the town. Sit out on porch and have a breakfast ( delivered the evening before ). Host Dave very helpful with travel tips. Recommended

Fabulous place to stay in the midst of nature - cicadas, birdsong, rabbits, quail, towering trees. A very relaxing and welcoming setting with great privacy. The cottage itself was perfect with a cute lounge and sunny deck area. We'd definitely stay again!

Driving into property is ‘fun’, if travelling with teenager they may not like the patchiness of the wifi and no TV in the rooms, (we stayed in lodge) and it may take a while to get used to communal aspect of kitchen (I didn’t mind it).

Good view of bay, expansive property, plenty of outdoor spaces.

    Tranquility in lovely akaroa

The log cabins are private comfy and well built but the bathroom is a little poky with a shower curtain and the cooking facilities limited, fine for one night but would have missed dishwasher and oven if longer visit, however we only saw one cabin and cabins were all different so some may have had bigger kitchen and bathroom areas

It is in a lovely tranquil spot above akaroa up quite a steep narrow tarmacked road. It was a very hot day but with all the windows open there was a lovely breeze. We had a BBQ and outside seating area in our cabin also an indoor seating area for wet days. We had plenty of hot water with the gas Califont. The cabins are distanced apart and it was peaceful with lovely birdsong in the surrounding bush. Grounds kept well. Cabin had a wood burner and electric heater for cooler weather would be very cozy The most important thing is a comfy bed pillow and cleanliness which it certainly had, top marks.

Very narrow road. Only a curtain to 2nd room, a 4 bed bunk room. Just need to prune a few trees for more water views from the top cabins.

Fabulous Views, Good linen, bathroom facilities, air con heat pump, fan. Kitchen had everything you would need. Isolation from the town, cabins private with nice grounds to walk around.

    Nothing.

Exceptionally beautiful surroundings, remote yet close to town…. The bird song here at dawn was one of the highlights of my trip. The hosts are friendly and attentive. The view is from a high hillside overlooking Akaroa, very special. The lodge room was entirely unique, especially the sweet loft room ( for fit adults or children only) .
