We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

Great location- next to the gardens and walking distance to lots of dining/CBD. Excellent service by the friendly staff. Nice touch with the ‘gifted’ Bear named George.

New ZealandExpensive, overpriced we felt but thoroughly enjoyed the stay nevertheless. Our ground floor room overlooked the car park and there was early morning noise both days with guests checking out so I would definitely request a room with a better outlook if staying again.
Comfortable room, very nice staff. Loved the little bear gift. Location was great and e-bikes were a very fair price which we hired out from the hotel.

Being Christmas we appreciated the special extras like the chocolates on Christmas Day. We have stayed here several times before and definitely look forward to the next opportunity to do so.

AustraliaOverall Staff were great apart from Male Concierge. Rang room service for a bottle opener & upon opening door was very rudely & abruptly told that there was only one bottler opener in Hotel & he would wait until we had opened the bottle. (Maybe The George Hotel could nip down to the 2 bob shop & buy half a dozen of them so this doesn't occur again), Breakfast girls were great, yet again let down by one waitress who clearly did not want to be there on the 2 occasions we had breakfast in Hotel. Was totally not happy when asked for a teapot of boiling water for my tea that I had brought down to breakfast with me. Otherwise would have given a 5 star for staff.
An abundance of toiletries which were of a high standard. Also liked the turn down service & chocolates (which is getting rarer & rarer in todays mad world) liked the touch of the George Bear on first night stay which has been given to our granddaughter. Location was fabulous as you can walk into where all the action is or you can catch the tram which is highly recommended. Bar staff great, friendly & pours a great Martini.

Location was lovely. Across the road from Hagley Park and a short walk to the Botanic Gardens, the Christchurch Tramway tours, the CBD and restaurants. Was given an espresso coffee upon arrival and a cuddly teddy called George to take travelling with us. What more could you want :)
