Fantastic views and location looking across Lake Tekapo—no buildings between you and the lake. Staff were very professional and friendly. Came and opened up and put heating on. Great spot for a break between Christchurch and Queenstown

The property manager very kindly upgraded our room and the front lake view unit is fab! The unit was warm and the view exceptional. This property is a great place to stay for a short visit at lake tekapo

The property demand is high here during nov-february therefore it has made the price justified. And eventho its already full, we still see some people trying to speak to the host, trying to book our room. Andy suggested that we see stars at midnight but too bad it was so cold thus we slept all night soundly.

Andy was nice. His property is in very good location which is basically just a 5mins walk to the lake. All are nice. Heater was on when we enter the bedroom so it was a plus. All are working nicely. I like the lupin were blooming so pretty just like the one shown in the property pictures.

The temperature dipped unexpectedly and there was no blanket in the room to put on the bed or to use when sitting outside.

Excellent overall. But a comment relative to many places is the lack of ability to open a window, instead of using the AC. It’s unsafe to leave the sliding door open at night.. so no option only to use the AC- even though at this time of year an open window would suffice.

The manager was overbearing and I couldn’t get rid of him. There was a fire escape which he gave us instructions what to do in case of a fire but there was NO SMOKE ALARM in the room!!!

The furniture is a bit mismatched and outdated but still clean and very functional.

Convenient location close to town. About a 20 min walk to the center of town, 5 min to the lake. Air conditioning available although did take some time to cool the room given the full glass windows and intense sun of New Zealand. The host is very easy to communicate with and friendly. There was free parking. The room was spacious and clean.
