Perhaps a bit more safety railing in one section as the track is narrow & it drops away very steeply.Especially a concern if it’s dark !

We loved the cottage,the quietness ,the view & the beautiful gardens!!! The inside had everything one could need plus more!!! We would highly recommend to anyone!!! Ticked every box ✔️Thank you so much 😊

Only thing that could be improved would be installation of window screens especially in upstairs bedroom area so windows could be opened to let cool air circulate through in evenings - seasonal insects are a nuisance at dusk and without window screens it’s unnecessarily stuffy indoors for sleeping & entertaining. Otherwise quite comfortable & well equipped.

Location, views from the property and stellar rhododendron garden at Trelawn place can’t be beat ! At our particular cottage, we enjoyed the outdoor dining and lounging area on the patio with its view over the gorge, our indoor sitting room views, laundry, and mini-kitchen especially the oven & dishwasher. These made dining-in easy & easy to clean up !

A dishwasher would be handy but not essential.

The location is exceptional. Direct frontage to the Shotover river. 180-degree views over the river to snow-capped peaks. Views to coronet peak from the balcony. 5min drive to Queenstown. Easy access to Coronet peak ski field. Very quiet location. No road noise. Beautiful, peaceful little cottage with good amenities. Very obliging hosts - Michael even loaned me a pair of his own boots when mine fell to bits.

The owner made us feel very welcome and went out of his way to help us. He gave us great advice about the snow and where to get food. The view was absolutely stunning. Quiet beautiful area just outside of Queenstown. The beds were comfortable and the cottage was warm and clean. Internet was a little slow but manageable.

Lack of toiletries

Surrounding views of countryside day and night are breathtaking. Spa time during the day is peaceful especially with a glass of wine with husband at sunset. Very close to town.

Outside of too-busy Queenstown, Trelawn is a beautiful oasis. Michael, host & owner, has an amazing garden, obviously a lifetime of work.

we didn’t have a car, so had to Uber into town and back. only about 10 minute ride, but some drivers had trouble finding us

We were met by the friendly hosts and their corgis who welcomed us into their home and offered us a very welcome cup of tea after a long journey. The location was absolutely beautiful, with stunning gardens and a view of the Shotover River. A very relaxing stay!

VIEWS! It was exceptional! Anywhere you stand, from the kitchen to the living room, you can see magnificent views of the mountains along with the river. Not only that but the location was superb, made travelling so much easier for us from the airport to the city. We loved everything, especially the cozy fireplace, the jacuzzi was a bonus!

Nothing - this accommodation is first class in every way.

Trelawn Place is perfect in every way. The views from our accommodation were breathtaking. The setup and facilities cover every need, and it even has a dressing room. It is quiet, and warm and cosy and Michael is a caring and friendly host, whose upkeep of property and grounds is immaculate. We enjoyed our two nights stay immensely, and leave with great memories.
