The views were breathtaking! The grounds and amenities were very nice, especially the infinity pool! The hosts were very accommodating and entertaining at times too! Amazing place to stay while in Boca Chica or just to experience the resort lodge itself!

I don’t have WhatsAp so communication was a little hampered but we made it work.

The Casita is a separate cottage with views of the ocean and the jungle. The breakfasts were delicious and a lovely way to meet the other guests. We were also able to make simple meals for ourselves so didn’t need to go out to eat which was a big plus for us. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing which was just what we needed at the end of our Panamanian exploration.

I’d recommend having a car as it’s at the top of the hill and a hike to get to town.

It’s a beautiful setting at the top of a hill looking down to the bay. There’s always a good breeze and a quiet location for relaxing. Nice, warm Infinity pool with plenty of lounge chairs and towels.

We found nothing to dislike.

The property is lovely with a stunning view. Facilities are very comfortable, and the owners are absolutely amazing. We visited about 5 years ago and loved it so much, we came back again. There are some great restaurants close by that are fabulous. Boat tours of the island beaches and mangroves were amazing. Road access has significantly improved since the last time we visited.

The WiFi was having issues. They have Starlink, so I assume they will be able to resolve this. I smoke cigars, and you can't do this on their balcony. But as they explained to me, this is Panama regs thing, not something they can control.

You can see the photos of the grounds on the website; it's beautiful as marketed. But I'd say the standout feature of this B&B is the helpfulness of the owners. Boca Chica is a very small area and honestly the market in-town never had anything I needed (make sure you come prepared.) However, I was a somewhat difficult guest, needing a few miscellaneous things (i.e. aloe vera for a sunburn) and they were able to accommodate. Erika even volunteered a couple photos and sent them to me. Will definitely be coming back!

Our casita had a microwave and a coffee machine. It was very clean and comfortable. The view from the hotel is amazing and the stars are wonderful at night. The breakfast was very good. Thank you for everything, Erika and Herbie!

Poor Wifi

Lovely place on all fronts except the wifi isn’t good but I just used my cell phone data. The view is amazing! The cleanliness is top notch. The nature around the accommodation is a pure joy to see! It’s a short drive to the beach and to a few restaurants so you have all you need for an amazing stay! If you want snacks just pick some up at a supermarket in Boca Chica village on your way to the property. You will love it here!!!!

There was nothing I did NOT like.

This is a superb little B&B with lovely hosts, excellent breakfast, and out-of-this-world location and everything else. The owners are truly taking care of their customers in all aspects without being imposing in any way. We had the Casita which was perfect for the three of us. We saw monkeys and other animals directly from the lodge. Truly recommendable for couples with or without kids.

The hosts made our stay incredible! Super friendly and funny and helpful! It felt like we were staying with distant family friends we had never met before! The views from the pool are incredible! We even saw howler monkeys in the trees! Had a feast for breakfast! And they helped us book an island hopping tour with ease!

The property is lovely. We spent three nights. We love all the flora y fauna. Herbie and Erika were gracious hosts. Herbie makes a mean brekkie. They also assisted us on our snorkeling and kayaking tours. Just a great stay. We loved the view from our room and balcony.

Boca Chica Bay Lodge is probably one of the best accommodations we have experienced.We have travelled extensively throughout the world.The ambiance was beautiful.The view incredible.Wildlife can be spotted and followed from the balcony.. Rooms are pleasantly equipped and the breakfast a great start of the day. The hosts, Erika and Herbie are warm and personal. We came as strangers and left as friends.

That we had to leave after three days...

Gorgeous view from the Lodge down into the bay - the hosts are more than friendly and helped us arranging trips for the day and made sure that everything was perfect! We went on a fishing tour on the recommendation of our hosts; we caught fish and our hosts were even able to arrange that a restaurant grilled our catch of the day for a few dollars. This place is just fantastic and gets even better as the hosts are kind, friendly and doing everything to make your stay a wonderful one! From the terrace you can listen to the wildlife, see apes chasing each other in the palm trees or just enjoy the sunrise or an ice cold drink :)

We LOVED the views from our little casita as well as from entire property, infinity pool, hummingbird watching from hammocks, access to drinks and ice at any given time, having regular towels, beach towels and pool towels all provided by the Erika and Herbie, the hosts.
