Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MalaysiaDuring peak hours, I had a difficult time ordering room service. I cannot even get through the line, it just kept on ringing. I had to wait until much later to place an order. I also didn't like that restaurants are closed most of the time during my stay. Only a few are open, but some are not. And there are no clear signages on the restaurant doors on their operating hours. The mini bar in the room is empty. So if you want something from the mini bar, you have to call the staff. Which again is not so convenient. Also basics such as dental set, robes, slippers are not available in the room. You have to ask for those specifically.
The resort is huge but a bit outdated. The hotel came up with a lot of events planned to entertain guests. The staff are nice and what I have noticed is most staff speak English compared to the hotels in the city. I also love that they are pet friendly

PanamaSome things are too overpriced there so if you don’t buy the full package, you will have to pay a lot extra. And also, you should have more diversity in the activities of the night, to make the stay even cooler.
Very comfortable, the hotel is beautiful, good location, staff is very kind, food was great

IrelandBooked a suite for my husbands 50th and requested surprise upon arrival which I paid 234 USD for entailing 6 balloons, bottle of sparking wine, strawberry dipped in chocolate with customised birthday greeting on plate; also there were rose petals placed on bed in shape of 50. However housecleaning took away all the rose petals leaving the room bare on his actual birthday. We were only there for 2 nights. Our room was not replenished with water or other usual supplies which was also quite disappointing. Food at the resort was limited and not in line with other Westin Resorts I have been to. My lobster dish had one piece of undercooked lobster tail which again was quite alarming. Otherwise dish was excellent. Sauna in spa was out of service-facilities in Spa were quite restricted given size of the Spa. For some unknown reason our bed was very damp on the first night-not sure if it's because the air con was so cold and high humidity or just damp bed-have never experienced this before.
Beautiful views and facilities-pools were fabulous. Beach walks were lovely with lifeguards very vigilant. Restaurant staff sang happy birthday and made a huge effort for my husbands birthday dinner celebration. They were amazing at the steak House restaurant. The Spa had balloons from floor to ceiling for couples massage which was breath taking and very special experience.

United StatesThe hotel gets very busy on the weekends because they offer day passes. Lots of kids and teenagers. They need to do a better job of managing them and making sure the bathrooms are accessible and kept clean.
The hotel, food, and staff were great! I would definitely recommend this place and go back. Pool area was big and had lots of seating. Swim up bar with music and food. We had a great time. Several restaurants on the property. Food was good.

South AfricaBees and chitre's are a problem. I got stung by a bee on our first day there and on the second night while having dinner outside the chitres ate us alive. My husband had 27 bites and I had at least half of that. Do not come here without bringing your bug spray or if you are allergic to bees!
The beds and pillows are amazing! To the extend that I inquired where to buy the pillows :-) The sushi restaurant was great and the service in general was on par. Good value for money. Food was decent, cocktails at the pool were always flowing and there are some good wine choices for dinner.

United StatesI think everything is just a little out of date at this location. There were a lot of broken tiles along the walkways. And the rooms and facilities are lacking modernization. The kids club was closed for the entirety of our stay so that wasn't an available option for us. Overall, I don't think this hotel is what I was looking for in Panama but that's no fault of the resort. There was a playground for the kids but it looked old and sketchy and my kids didn't want to use it.
The pools were pretty nice. The kids had fun and enjoyed swimming. The pillows in the rooms are comfortable. The food at the buffet was decent. The espresso martinis were the best I've ever had-exceptional.

United StatesThe hotel is close to the city, yet very isolated from the surrounding area of Veracruz where I understand there are some good places to eat. One of the pools on the far end was not maintained and it was quite unsightly. Panama has many beautiful beaches, the beach at Playa Bonita was not one of them.
