Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesSewer smell in first room
Located in a convenient place with lots of restaurants and shopping all around. Breakfast was really basic, bread, bananas, jelly, tea. One morning there was cheese and I saw someone else have eggs but we never got any so that might have been separate from included breakfast. Our original room was terrible because it smelled like sewer gas. We arrived late on the train and the smell was choking us. There was no staff present on check in but we did see a worker and told him about the smell, he said all places in the town smelled that way and offered room spray. However, this was not a normal sewer smell and was very strong. We had to keep the bathroom door closed to be able to sleep. In the morning I messaged them on What'sApp and they were able to move us to 2 other rooms (we originally booked a large family room). These rooms did not have the same problem with the smell and were clean. Beds are hard that's common in Peru, plenty of blankets if it got cold. Shower had decently warm water. Street could be a bit noisy at night so bring earplugs if that bothers you.

PolandWe got the room with really humid walls and bad smell. It was cold and there was no hot water - so after Machu Picchu trek we couldn’t rest properly. There was no coffee or tea during the day. Price for this place is not worth - talking about comfort and facilities.
Breakfast was okay - nice thing that when you tell day before, they prepare food for your trek. Good location

VietnamCould be better with shower and towels, but overall for 2 Nights we stay it is completely good
Good place for a money we paid, perfect location, we did not expect that it is a luxury place, bed was clean, hot water, safety enough, a lot of restaurants around, near to train station. Thank you Jesus (night front desk) for being very helpful and understandable. If you are looking for something very comfortable choose another place, in case you are going for excursions and sightseeing and will come back to take shower and sleep this place exactly what you can book.

PolandIt's a bit loud during night.
Great location, near the train station. Breakfast was simple and tasty. The stuff was really nice and welcoming. Good place to stay for one night ( value for money) if you are heading for the Machu Picchu in the morning.

United StatesWas a little cold, staff were very polite but when we asked for some extra items, like a towel, soap and even bread, they were unwilling to be flexible. Eventually another staff member was present when we asked for soap (because we extended our stay), and when the manager said no, the staff member jumped in and said "what are you doing, it's soap, give it to them". This was my only frustration.

IndonesiaAlthough there was no bar with music around, but some guests are quite loud (not the hotel's fault, of course).
Everything was simple but sufficient for an overnight stay prior to going to Machu Picchu. I stayed in window-less room, so it was warmer. There was also extra blanket. The room has a small seating area: a desk and two chairs, which was quite helpful to place stuff. Breakfast consisted of 2 breads and a banana and choice of hot drinks. The staff/owner (?) was kind enough to keep my backpack while I'm at Machu Picchu. He also gave direction to the bus stop. The hotel is located in a small alley, 5 min from train station (passing through the traditional/souvenir market), and it is more on the 'local' side of the town ( maybe) because I noticed a school nearby, as well as a sport ground. Food joints were also cheaper than the other side of the town (across the bridge, in the vicinity of main square and spa) where everything is fancy and touristy.

United StatesOur shower was just cold water which was so inconvenient. We tried to get the water fixed but it didn’t get fixed in the 3 nights we were there. They don’t provide free towels which is strange for a hotel. Our TV was working on and off.
The location is great it’s a 5 minutes walk from the train station. They have a cute terrace which is good for studying or doing work!

ItalyThe first time in my life that I paid for a structure and I didn't sleep there. I booked a large room, when I arrived they gave me a hole of a room where I had difficulty breathing. To use the reserved room they asked me to pay 70 soles more, which I did not accept. If I had known before I would never have booked that room with them. I felt cheated

IsraelBreakfast was limited to 8:00 AM, which felt somewhat restrictive. The breakfast itself was basic, consisting primarily of coffee, one piece of fruit, a single bread roll, and limited accompaniments. Rooms were somewhat confined, with only one window facing the corridor. Furthermore, the shower water temperature fluctuated erratically between hot and cold. While the location was a bit remote, it was generally acceptable. The hostel was locked at 23:00, so you can't hang out until late. Didn't feel very welcome
The accommodation offered good value for the price. The room was reasonably clean.
