To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomThey were doing some renovation/construction work at the hotel which started quite early in the morning (around 8am). During the night I could hear doors being slammed which was a bit distracting. Our room faced the road so whilst it's not as noisy as it could've been if the hotel was even more central, because the windows are single glazed the noise does get through. Fortunately though it wasn't too bad and I was already awake by the time I could hear the cars and their beeping horns.
It's in a really good location if you want to be close to the historic centre whilst not being too close so it's not as noisy. The room was great and clean. We arrived at 8am and they allowed us to check into our room at that time which was amazing and really appreciated! We used room service for our food and that was great and reasonably priced.

PeruThe small mirror in the bathroom broke off the handle. Applying my makeup would have been better with the small mirror. Other than that everything else was great!
The staff was very welcoming and professional. The reception staff and housekeeping were always available to assist with any service or questions I needed.

PortugalThe receptionist was unfriendly, quite cold, and no welcome to Gran Mondo. Only give us information about what we would pay for if we used or lost the room key. Didn't ask us if we wanted or needed info. When we sent for a shower at the end of the evening, the water was cold. The housekeeper and another member of staff came quite quickly and were efficient but said we would have to wait until someone looked at the problem and see if it could be fixed. We asked for another room, and everything was fine, but the management didn't want to give us anything as compensation as an apology. Even a cup of coffee was too much until we told them how bad their attitude was towards guests. Due to the attitude of front desk staff and management, we will not recommend this hotel or group.
The bed was comfortable.

SwedenThey missed to clean the room - but that might have been an misunderstanding - and it did not matter as we only stayed 2 nights.
Non smoking rooms and the hotel do not use "ambientador" - the spray some hotels use after cleaning, that have a strong smell causing respiratory problems for allergic persons. There where no smell at all in the room or the hotel. Excellent!

Costa RicaThey charged us for plastic silverware. At 4:30am someone was opening and closing room doors. A lot of noise around and no noise barriers between rooms and doors to hallway. Bad quality building and furnishing.
