We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesI didn't like having to buzz myself in and out. That's medieval and not necessary. The "bar" didn't have drinks. It's just a sign and a breakfast spot that I missed because I couldn't sleep due to the hot room.
I really liked the staff. They were sweet and helpful. Even if they don't have a simple translator app to help communicate.

CanadaThe bed was uncomfortable and hard. The shower lacked consistent hot water and pressure. The breakfast was coffee, a tiny juice, and a few pieces of bread with butter and jam. Nothing noteworthy here. This is a cheap guesthouse, so my expectations were not high, but I imagine there are others in the area that would provide the same if not better levels of comfort for the same price.
The location is good. Right in Miraflores.

United KingdomThe property was pretty dated and not the best upkeep, was looking pretty worn. There was a lot of noise from the street, the Argentinian football team staying in the hotel opposite us and thousands of fans there, so that wasn't great.
For the one night we were there, it was certainly acceptable. The staff were friendly and helpful and we muddled by with a lack of Spanish and English. The room was spacious, the bathroom was clean. The breakfast was very simple, but fresh juices were lovely
