We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOnly issue was we had to pay by cash which we were not aware of , had to drive 3/4 of the way bcak to the airport, having just arrived off a very long flight,to find a cash machine and would have done this at the airport if we had known. only place during our trip that required cash for payment,
Loved this place, made our stay on Tahiti and was the best introduction to french polynesia. Its in its own gorgeous priavte garden , other than a little road noise and the crashing of waves on the reef its very quiet and peaceful. Rays and small reef sharks pass frequently in front of the propoerty. amazing colours at sunrise and sunset which you can wake up to as priavte enough to leave curtains open. lovely view , island of moorea in the distance. very nice friend of the owner was waiting for us on arrival with the keys and gave us a good welcome and intro to the property. use of the sit on top kayaks was great , we were out there every day, does get very shallow at times so be careful. we had car rental, with a car this is a great location for touring round the island, secure parking is in the property. not sure how accessible is without a car. Great sandy public beach 15 min walk up the road. Big deck, for breakfasts and lounging. some mosquitos but the gekos and mosi coil were enough to keep them out of the actual bungalow. End of september, we were not too hot at night even without AC. The bed was perfect for us , nice and firm, and a real super king not 2 doubles put together. we even looked up the make of the mattress becasue we wished we had it at home! I had thought it was quite expensive when we booked but compared to other places we stayed I think it was worth it for the privacy, space and comfort.

United KingdomIt was a very quiet location so a car would be advisable and there is a car rental opposite the property and there is a local bus that will take you around the island but it doesn’t run on a regular schedule

New ZealandThe traffic noise from the road is noticeable at night, but earplugs help. Unfortunately, a few dogs fight at night, along with the odd rooster or two - but this is the islands, so take your earplugs and you will be fine.
Beautiful location right on the water, the property has a set of concrete steps for easy launch of kayaks. The lagoon is stunning for exploring via kayak (provided by the property). It is sheltered from the trade winds (SE). The Host is lovely, provides lots of helpful information, and is easy to contact via WhatsApp. The property is secure and fully fenced with an electronic entry gate on the driveway. A warm outside shower is great for rinsing off after being in the sea.

New ZealandBusy road but that is typical of the main road around Tahiti
Excellent deck overlooking the lagoon with small reef sharks and rays swimming right below the deck. Lots of small tropical fish and a kayak to use for swimming in the lagoon.

SwitzerlandTahiti Nui can only be fully enjoyed if you have access to a car. This is not a negative really, but just to make others aware that this is actually the situation on the whole island with pretty much all properties including this one. The road is indeed noisy, but it’s not a secret and the same road is all around the island.
The bungalow has its own access to the water in a beautiful location, which is great - kayak and paddleboard are provided. The location is simply beautiful and so tranquil. Whilst the property is quite a way out of Papeete, it is within easy reach of some of the most beautiful areas of the island (west and southwest - car needed!) and also in close proximity of supermarkets (by car). The host was wonderful (thanks for starter pack of beer, water and fruit) and so was the elderly neighbour who looks after the property. I would happily stay here again - well away from the hustle and bustle of the town. I recommend hiring a car at the airport or from the small place just across the road from the bungalow (French speaking). They quoted me for three full days at a very reasonable price.

United StatesIf you are looking for a bungalow right on the water, this is your place! The deck is nearly over the ocean. I could see the water from the bed, even before I got up. Stunning! The bungalow was very clean, and the kitchen was nicely equipped. There was a large table on the deck for dining on the water. We sat in the deck chairs and a loveseat to watch the beautiful sunset every night. We were glad to stay here, rather than a hotel. This is a more authentic and natural way to enjoy Tahiti. We went to the Intercontinental hotel for brunch one day and found it was too commercialized. Our bungalow was far more relaxing as well as natural. You will need a car to access the grocery store and restaurants. We found it easy to drive around the island, especially due to the location of the property. If we were closer to the airport, we would have been stuck in traffic while trying to drive to the local beaches and attractions. The property has kayaks and paddle boards, but we didn’t use them because it was too windy on the water (we were there in November). There is a washer and dryer, and even a second shower, located outside. The garden has coconuts, breadfruit and a few other fruits that we could pick and eat. Our host even gave us tips on how to prepare a breadfruit (which was delicious)! Overall, our stay in the bungalow was terrific. In fact, it was so special that my boyfriend proposed on the deck at sunset!
