Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandCheck-in and out is in a separate building and for persons requiring elevator or assistance with luggage, the parking (around the corner and up the hill) is a bit inconvenient.
Excellent dinner a la carte in the restaurant. The duck leg with red cabbage was some of the best we've had in Poland. Staff were very kind and helpful, room was very clean and comfortable. The grounds are well maintained and very well kept.

United KingdomChanging rooms were surprisingly small and inadequate when the pool was so good, It's also difficult to walk to pool in robes because accomodation blocks may be seperate from the spa building. No robes in room. Children playground is out of sight from restaurant and other facilities so not easy to keep an eye on them if they want to go play. Room wasn't ready on arrival but we took advantage of spa while waiting so this actually worked out well.
Very nice swimming pool. Great for the kids. Buffet dinner is excellent. Lots of variety of very tasty food. Location is great in the middle of a pretty old town.

PolandRestaurant where you can wait more than hour for your meal. WiFi which appears and disappears in the most unexpected moments, and mostly disappear.
Beautiful view on Wisła River and great-looking castle. You can feel like real knight in comfortable room with modern-medival style. Great location with big parking. Many options in breakfast. If you need to relax you can use swimmingpool, sauna or SPA inside the castle.

PolandIf you want peace and quiet this hotel is great because Gniew is almost like a dead town. At least in November. During a day it's hard to find a living soul, even in the town square. Not really many places to go to.
Food and drinks very tasty. Staff exceptionally helpful in every aspect. Although SPA isn't open on Mondays, they made an exception especially for us.

PolandBreakfast was huge disappointment. We came down at 10 - 1 hour before closing of breakfast and food was half gone. It left a very poor impression like we came too late to get proper variety. What was left was 3 sad tomatoes and really not many vegetables or cheeses. I saw there were waffles and Zapiekanki- so polish toast at the offer. Once asked the service if it will be available they just shrugged their shoulders and said I dont know its the kitchen who supplies. We sat there for about 30 mins and service was rather cleaning after than supplying food. Overall the reception desk service and restaurant service rather not welcoming. Short instructions barked under nose - they gave impression of being bothered in case asked. The bathroom facilities - like shower handle - rather old and malfunctioning
Great location and great historical value of the place. It was very nice since when we arrived we got free invitation to the bbq event. Additionally with the small fee we could join evening walk. Its great that SPA section operates until 11 pm evening and since 21 its adult time at spa. Overall nice complex just in the heart of the city nearby shops and restaurants

PolandThe restaurant - I ordered aperol spritz, I was brought something absolutely undrinkable with no bubbles at all. I asked what was it made of (because either there was no Prosecco inside or the bottle was obviously open for a couple of days and the bubbles were gone…) the waitress said she opened a new bottle of Prosecco for this drink. I asked her to make me another one with bubbles this time. She brought me another one made in the same glass (!) with addition of some (still) water. It was even more undrinkable especially for a drink that costs 25pln. My bf went inside to talk to the manager but was ignored by everyone as he didn’t speak polish and the staff didn’t speak (or want to) speak English. The manager finally came to our table and talked to me in polish. She said (obviosuly lying to my face) that the Prosecco bottle was freshly open. I asked her to bring it to me which she did. I tried to Prosecco and it was indeed sparkling. She then proceeded to make the drink in front of me (I’m leaving out the fact that she first put Prosecco in the glass, then aperol- which is heavier and hence kills the bubbles) and made me try it - this time it was fine. My question is why in the 4 star hotel’s restaurant I have to ask for a decent drink 3 times and why am I being lied to my face that the Prosecco bottle was the same each time when it was obviously not? This was very disappointing. This said, the food was really good even though overpriced.
Very nice and helpful personnel at the reception desk
