Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ChileHowever, the staff wasn’t very friendly and the breakfast that cost 5€ was definitely not worth the money, so i would recommend not paying it.
It was very well located, nice clean bathrooms and an overall very pretty aesthetic. Has a very good pizza spot downstairs that gives you 10% discount for being from the hostel. Very young vibes and relaxed.

AustraliaRight in the central area which is great location, has nice communal area with free sangria each night which is great for meeting people. The air conditioning is not so strong so still quite hot! but all good, women's dorm has very low doors so I hit my head. But overall nice hostel with good vibe!

AustraliaThe lack of air con sometimes made it difficult to sleep. Opening the balcony was good for air except for the general street noise and the construction work that began very early. The wifi works but drops in and out sometimes. Some of the showers smell.
Central location and pleasant staff. The breakfast is inexpensive and decent. The 3 bed room is quite pleasant.

Great hostel : he had the 2 person 1 bunk bed bedroom with a shared bathroom. Some air conditioning machine in the bedroom but not very efficient but it wasn’t too hot at this time. Bedroom, bathroom and kitchen were clean people respect the place by being quiet and clean. Yes the shower stops after 10/15s but the waterfall is powerful so no issue. We stayed 3 nights in June and it’s was quiet at night even if our bedroom was next to the commun bathroom. It’s a great place if you want to be in the city center, in a quiet place with nice people to meet. Breakfast was nice with homemade pancakes every morning with some fruits, cereals, milk, almond milk, bread and jams. Friendly staff very helpful and welcoming.

United KingdomThe location was excellent for exploring the city and also close to public transport if you wish to explore other areas. I visited Sintra, Cascais, Belem all easy to access. Loved the vibe in the communal area - free sangria between 7 and 8pm enabled me to chat with other travellers. The breakfast was also fabulous with freshly cooked pancakes every morning. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Portugal 🇵🇹

LithuaniaCenter location, very close to praca de comercio. Staff was really nice. Breakfast is not super, but for 5 eur okay, takes the morning stress of when deciding when to eat. We had a private room, but it was really dar, cold and wet. Usually houses in Portugal are like that. Good value for money

GreeceSmall lockers. You need to constantly keep pressing the button for water to run at the washbasin. It is not possible to wash your face and teeth like that. At shower rooms you need to press the button for water quite frequently, which makes it difficult to regulate the water temperature and enjoy shower. The 3-bed room was supposed to be 30m2 but in reality it was barely 13m2. No elevator. My room was just above of the reception area and at night I could hear loud talks from the common area (other guests socializing)
Very central location, close to everything and most importantly close to Mateigaria. Quiet from the outdoors at night. Nice ambience for meeting people. Nice bread in breakfast. 10% discount at nearby pizza place. Clean toilets.

AustraliaFor the shower, the water didn’t last long before having to repeatedly press the button again every few seconds to keep the water flowing. In the shower, a curtain might help keep anything hung up dry. The water ends up getting everywhere on the floor including the alcove next to the window. The sink didn’t have a lot of space to put toiletries. The toilet door was next to the sink making it a bit congested at times.
Great breakfast with crepes cooked in the morning. Junior was great at check in, even helped me carry my things up several flights of stairs, easy to arrange laundry. Free sangria hour was a nice way to meet other guests in a cute common space.

United KingdomI was in the all female dorm on the 6th floor. It’s a steep long way up. I stayed in one of the single bed spaces. I couldn’t stand up at all. Had to shuffle in and out. The blind had broken off so no privacy. Don’t leave the skylight open if it rains. The bed got soaked. Showers/toilets could be cleaner. Push operated shower. No toilet paper. There’s a lot of building work going on. I was woken up all 3 mornings at 8am with the horrendous sound of drilling. Not the hostels fault but ridiculously loud.
The location is superb. Staff helpful. The main lounge and dining area are really lovely. Staff are stationed at the reception area 24/7.
