The hotel needs a bit of refurbishment, that’s the only note I’d say.

The surroundings are beautiful, in the middle of nature. The spa facilities are very good, the restaurant is also great. The beds are beyond comfortable, best sleep guaranteed. The staff is very friendly too.

The Room was good, but we did found two dust centipede and the sofa bed was not straight, it was not comfortable and had only one pillow for two kids.

The main bed was really good, the receptionist was very helpful on the arrival and the location was as expected and the breakfast was on a really pleasant space with a great view.

What could be better were the drinks such vinho verde. They weren't fresh enough due to a technical failure in the fridge.

Overall the hotel was good with very nice staff ready to help us and we enjoy the time spent there!

I didn't like so much breakfest (few options) and restaurannt prices is too expensive for the offer.

The pool wasn’t maintained daily it had worms in it. Building work being carried out on site next to pool.

Breakfast is ok if only staying for 1 or 2 nights, we were there for 6 so a little bit repetitive. The staff were fab especially Owen, lovely young man.

Although the hotel is very clean and modern with brilliant facilities and views, there are marks on almost every wall which takes away some of the ‘clean feeling’ in the rooms. This took us by surprise when we first saw the room, but did not effect our stay whatsoever.

The hotel is amazingly situated with breathtaking views and great facilities allowing us to relax completely during our stay. Great food too, focusing on the presentation and unique flavours with good variety on the menu. Big rooms with balconies. Also really close to Gerês, which has amazing places to visit!

Floor carpet throughout is beige but looks stained, which is a shame as it impacts first impressions of hotel. Indoor pool water could be a warmer. Fire doors are propped open with door stoppers which defeats their purpose and will render them useless if there’s a fire in the hotel.

Staff was absolutely excellent, all very friendly and professional. Mr Fernando in the restaurant was particularly attentive and made our dinning experience better. Breakfast was very good - continental style. But dinner was heavenly - absolutely delicious food and very high quality. Would 100% recommend you book your stay with dinner included! Views from the bedroom are amazing with floor to ceiling glass. The scenery surrounding the hotel is beautiful with fantastic landscapes. Shower in the bedroom is great with massage jets!

Carpets need to be replaced or cleaned. You had to book to use the facilities but it seems that everyone just comes in anyway making it very crowded. Hard to find.

There are quite a few details around the hotel which denote lack of maintenance (scruffs in furniture for example), which may detract from the overall high-standard feel that the hotel wants you to experience. During our visit it looked like the hotel was a bit understaffed (dealing with check-ins, pool/spa inquires and bookings, attending the bar, etc.).

The rooms are very modern, comfortable and spacious (really big bed). The pool and spa facilities are nice, with sauna and steam room.

The carpet around the place is looking old and dirty and chairs in the bar are quite worn. No kid zone.

The pool had the water gun disabled. The bed was awesome, but the pillow was quite hard. Should have a secondary one in the wardrobe.

Very peaceful and a perfect place to relax. The SPA facilities were very good, the breakfast absolutely perfect and the hotel restaurant also very good quality food. Overall very good value for money.

We didn't like the fact that the air conditioning didn't work very well and the room was hard to heat fully. We were unable to use the living room of the bedroom because it was always freezing cold.

We liked the location of the hotel and how clean it was. We also liked the size of the bedroom and the bathroom with a nice big jet tub.

- a lot of things in the room didn't work. E.g. phone, hairdryer, etc - I paid for the romantic package but the bottle of fizzy rose was in the fridge when we arrived and not in an ice bucket as I expected. When I did ask for one, rather than delivering it to our room, they asked me to request it from the restaurant - There wasn't anyone overseeing the spa meaning that people weren't abiding by the rules. E.g. kids being relatively loud in the pool - I would usually expect the towels to be replaced but they were not

The bed was nice and the staff was helpful when we asked. The view was good.
