“Exceptional Stay – Relaxed, Well-Equipped, and Welcoming in an amazing atmosphere, the monks quarter of the Temple. A perfect start to our Japan trip.
We had a fantastic stay! The atmosphere was calm and very inviting. The place was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed. Unlike many accommodations, everything here was high quality – from the hair dryer to the fully equipped kitchen with great utensils and cookware that felt good to use.
The amenities were excellent, not the usual budget options. The temple area with its softly lit bell house added a beautiful, peaceful touch. The host was very friendly and made sure everything was ready for us – we didn’t miss a thing.
Highly recommended. We would definitely stay again!”
“I had a wonderful stay at this Ryokan in Kusatsu. The room was very spacious and incredibly quiet, which made it perfect for relaxing. The breakfast was excellent — very delicious and beautifully prepared, although honestly a bit too much to finish! The owner and the cook were both extremely kind and welcoming, which made the experience feel very personal and warm.

“Beautiful accomodation. Great kitchen. Very Japanese experience with futons and small low table for eating. Great location for Onsen. Lovely town experience.”
“Awesome and authentic home cooked prepared by mina-san meals. Unique meals as well!
Extremely friendly and accomodating hosts. (We could check-in at 8pm!)
Beautiful view all around the house
Value for money place to stay if you're going for Fuji rock (about an hour drive)”
“The pension is located in the forest, it's very nice and quiet. It seems like time is suspended in the past, things go slower, it's calm. The owners are really nice people and they have lovely cats. The room was small but functional.”
“Meals were fabulous, gardens were lovely and the onsens were wonderful. The lady running the property was excellent and her son was super cute. Golden retrievers were very friendly and enjoyed pats.”
