Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NorwayThe price was a little steep for what you get. When we got there a group of people had booked the other rooms, and they seemed annoyed that we had come there. They had made a lot of mess in the common area and was making a lot of noise outside our door after we had gone to bed. This was not the hosts fault, but it lessened the experience.
Loved staying on this farm in beautiful surroundings, the host was super nice and treated us to the best homemade cake. Everything was comfortable and clean

RomaniaWasn't very winter proof, but for my kind of travels this is not a big downside. Also not clear where the entrance was or how I can reach the host. Wi-fi wasn't amazing.
I was mostly alone so it was very chill. The host was very nice. Overall a very rustic atmosphere. It was like -15 celsius ourside and inside was super warm. Had parking space. I also enjoyed the smell of cows even though some people complain about that. No smell in the rooms.

United KingdomWe booked super last minute, and the lady who runs the guest house was so kind about this and showed us our room which was lovely, cosy, clean and peaceful. There is a communal kitchen where we cooked something by to eat and had a lovely evening. In the morning we went for a walk around the local area which is stunning and truly magical, there are incredible views of the mountains if you walk up the hill past the church. Great value for money too. Awesome!

MoldovaNothing to say
The host, Marioara and her sons, were incredibly warm, friendly and helpful. The best part of the trip was breakfast with Marioara, with local goodies she prepared herself. The place itself was extremely clean and comfortable. Authentic experience you should not miss if you have a chance!

United KingdomWe went to Sirnea for a special event and booked Casa Marioara to be close to it. The house and the neighbourhood was very quiet and the views from up the road are very pictoresque. The accommodation is on floor 1 with a few stairs and a stip walk to get to it. There are 5 bedrooms with 2 sharing bathrooms open for booking, but at the time, we were the only ones booked in, which was great, as we didn't have to share the communal area and the showroom with anyone, also the musical noise from the squeaking wooden floor boards, which is impossible to avoid at every step throughout 😀. This would be a great accommodation to book if you are a group and want somewhere reasonable to stay together. The showroom pictures in the description are not reflecting the reality as showrooms are beautiful, newly done, to high standards and the shower is great 5* for bathrooms. Beds are clean an very comfortable. The place was adequately heated and Marioara, as she lives downstairs, is trying her best to meet your needs if she can. And I also purchased milk when we left, as someone else mentioned. The communal kitchen is very well equipped and you can heat and cook stuff, just make sure to have everything you need with you as there is only a shop meeting basic needs in the village.

United KingdomMarioara speaks no English and didn’t want to use google translate on my phone, so we had a hard time understanding each other. I arrived at 3 and there was no water coming out of the taps - I eventually understood that it was due to maintenance. I had been walking since 9am so was in need of a shower! Marioara’s husband contacted me on WhatsApp at about 5 saying that I could move to a different house of his nearby where there was water, but I then had to wait until ~8pm before we went there. This place was comfortable, and there was indeed running water. I understand that the water issue was beyond their control but if there had been better communication then Marioara could have taken me to the other place earlier. The couple are very friendly but it was generally not the relaxing stay I had hoped for, but I’m sure my experience was very unusual. Worth noting that the village shop is not adequate for cooking so have everything you need with you if you’re hiking. I read about breakfast in other reviews but I didn’t have any - perhaps because I wasn’t in the main house or because I was the only one staying there.
I loved being around all the animals and Marioara is very sweet. Everything was clean and the setting is beautiful.
