The food at the restaurant is very expensive and honestly not very good quality. To hire a car and driver they also quote very high prices, I was able to find much cheaper by looking elsewhere. I think overall the value for money at this place is a little high for what you get. There also aren’t many vegan friendly options at breakfast

The guesthouse is located in a beautiful place with views of a tea plantation. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is basic and small but it’s comfortable enough and there’s hot water in the shower.

The food was bland. Would have been nice to no about no-alcohol policy. Would have been nice with a bit of furniture in the room, perhaps a sofa and a chair.

Excellent location next to Nyungwe. Very helpful staff. Peaceful and quiet.

No alcohol on site (not even a beer) as it is run by the Anglican church of Rwanda, the restaurant hall is gloomy and the food is so so.

Mosè, the on-site manager, was very helpful. The views over the hilly tea plantations directly from the rooms are breathtaking

Highly recommended accommodation in Gisakura 👌🏻

One small thing to note: since the room doesn’t get a lot of direct sunlight, I did notice a bit of mold and a musty smell inside the wardrobe. Maybe the owner could consider a solution for this in the future

A perfect choice for accommodation in Gisakura, offering great value for money. The location is amazing—very quiet and surrounded by tea fields. The staff are friendly and welcoming, especially the manager, Musa, who is very helpful and attentive to his clients. The room was clean with good facilities, and the food was delicious. Highly recommended! I will definitely return when I'm in Gisakura again 👌🏻

Bathroom facilities were generally functional and clean, but could be improved upon.

Beautiful location, comfortable spacious rooms, hot water with good pressure, helpful staff, good breakfast, peaceful. A children’s traditional dance group gave us an amazing performance. Vervet monkeys were fun to watch as we ate breakfast.

Isiah went out of his way to help me get a permit for the chimpanzees. Everyone working here goes out of their way to make you comfortable and attend to your needs. I read a review that there is no bedside light - I can confirm there are lights next to the bed. They even provide a toothbrush and toothpaste for you. I am solo female traveler and felt very safe on my second night there. Thank you everyone at this guest house for all that you do. Appreciate it.

We found it a bit expensive for what it offers but all in all it was a pleasant stay.

We had a very good dinner here as well. The room was nice and the staff kind.

The room (and dinner room) decoration is quite "cold". Could be improved to make the room more cosy, more "lodge-like" (even for a place run by a church if I understood well)

The show given in the evening by a music/dance school was fantastic! The place is well located closed to Park exit and tea plantation.

Bathroom could have been a little cleaner but it was acceptable; if they could provide shampoo and conditioner that would be greatly appreciated by many travellers.

Great location for Nyungwe National Park; no traffic noise as it is off the road and faces the tea plantations and forest; staff friendly and super-helpful; rooms clean with enormous beds and toothbrushes/toothpaste provided as well as soap. Even though they are a Christian lodge that serves no alcohol - they allowed us to bring in a bottle of wine from across the road at Chimpanzee Lodge that we enjoyed on our patio (not allowed in restaurant). They even kept it cold for us!

No compkaints. Only one working point laybe: nouse isolation between the rooms.

A neat place in a nice garden with comfortable double rooms ( VIP rooms) and very friendly staff + a super manager ( Mozes) who will do everything to please his guests. Meals in the restaurant are good. The place is a perfect and reasonably priced place to discover Nyungwe NP. No problem to gige them your laundry and each question will be answered.
