The accommodation is magnificent. Amazing view, nice, clean, comfortable, well equipped. "the island of calm" The owners are frendly and helpful. Beautiful balkony. Ski, spa, restaurants, nice old towns are nearby. The breakfast was very amazing. Definitely worth to see! :-)

I tried very hard to find something, but no, couldn't come up with anything. As it's an old building, be aware that there are three floors and no elevator. But even the wooden staircase is lovely and a joy to walk up and down. :)

This building and the family owning it is deeply integrated into the history of the surrounding towns and the Tatras. The building has been beautifully renovated recently, and they managed to perfectly keep the old style while providing all the modern conveniences. From the moment you arrive and the owner greets you, you feel like you are visiting with friends instead of staying in a hotel. They always have a few kind words for you and go out of their way to help you. We did have a special request beforehand, which was perfectly organized. They can also give you great advice for your time in the Tatras. The breakfast is a full continental selection, and according to the owners, they just started doing dinners. This is usually a buffet of 2 soups and 2-3 main courses, but created by a talented chef, expertly bringing traditional Slovakian flavours into modern cuisine. We are a family of foodies, so we actively seek out different restaurants to try the local food, but this time we were more than happy to have dinners in the hotel. The wellness needs to be booked a little bit in advance at the reception. But then you get a whole part of the building just for yourselves, with a sauna and a jacuzzi bath, and best of all, a spacious room with a fireplace and a bar where you can relax. Even though we are not wellness fanatics, we all found it lovely and definitely worth to try. It's obvious from my superlatives that it was one of the very best hotel stays in my life. It's almost on the level of the Japanese ryokans that I have experienced. This is not a luxury place, but a quality place, if you can appreciate the difference. Also, it's a quiet place, so you probably shouldn't go there if you want to party. On the other hand, if you want to relax and enjoy the surroundings, you won't be disappointed.

It was not revealed in advance that the wellness services (sauna, jacuzzi) must be booked at least 3 hours in advance.

The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the main road and the electric railway station, yet in a quiet area. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. You can drink tea or espresso coffee for free at any time. The family suite is spacious and comfortable, the bathroom is well equipped. The view from the room's balcony is wonderful. The most amazing thing was the kindness and helpfulness of the staff.

Everything. It has very pleasant atmosphere and the staff (owner, cook, everyone) makes it a very easy going and relaxed. Perfect when you need to unwind and chill out in a beautiful, well decorated place surrounded by beautiful Slovak nature. I’ve already recommended this place to all my colleagues at work and will definitely come back again. See you soon! 😉

This is a fabulous family run hotel and the service was exceptional. Katarina and Jozef were really helpful and went out of their way to recommend walks and how to get away from the busy parts of the mountains, and to recommend places for the next part of our holiday in Bratislava and Vienna. The room was really comfortable, breakfast was great and we loved the spa.

Although the bathroom looked absolutely stunning and was very functional, the sink was quite small. But there is nothing you can do about that in the smaller space. There is no lift, which was totally fine with us, but this was due to the historical aspects to be maintained.

This hotel is a true gem in the High Tatras! Absolutely perfect location for the villa, with history breathing from the walls, and the interior matched to every single detail. Not omitting great breakfast, cozy common rooms to hang out, coffee-tea-wine corner, and the option for private wellness. I really appreciated the background music playing jazz and the amazing smell and lighting that hugged you from the moment you stepped into the hotel. Last but not least, the highly professional yet friendly staff make you feel at home and help you with any request day and night! I would truly name this one of the best experiences with accommodation in the Tatras we have ever had!

Exceptional stay! Beautiful accommodation, modern, spacious, clean with comfortable bed. Amazing fresh breakfast with many options. The stuff is one of the nicest I have ever met in a hotel. Great hotel in a convenient location. The rooms were very clean and newly decorated. The breakfast was very tasty. The host was very friendly. The whole place has a very calm and friendly atmosphere about it. Our kids loved the pool table and the chess table in the game room. Will definitely visit again.

Wow , where do I start? Theis place is a gem! The breakfast is perfect, the rooms are comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean, comfy beds with quality linen and matrasses, other hotel areas are pleasant and welcoming. Excellent location walking distance from everything you'd need. The owners and the staff are extremely nice and helpful. They provided useful recommendations, put a lot of extra effort when we needed a service that is not regularly provided by the place and when my child had a medical emergency they helped us in every possible way (thank you so much Joseph!)

Cozy, beautifully restored hotel. Good location in Smokovec, everything is in walking distance. Quiet. Very close to the tram stop that takes you to Strbske Pleso or Tatranska Lomnica. 5-10 minutes to the funicular going to Hrebienok. We did not use the car during our stay. Very pleasant, friendly owners. Great breakfast. We also booked dinners, which were served at two close-by, nice restaurants. We enjoyed the sauna and played the pool. We hope we will come back one day.

This is a not too big hotel in excellent location, in heart of Novy Smokovec. The nearest elevator is 5 minutes walk from accomodation. The hotel is very elegant, the most silence place where we have been. The breakfast was super. The hosts were very friendly. I am sure we will back. Plus: There are a lot of high quality restaurant.

It was simply amazing long weekend in this fabulous hotel. The reception guy - Peter if I am not mistaken - was very supporting, I've never seen someone smiling all the time. Her colleague was very kind as well. The room was super big, clean and with modern furniture. The breakfast was really nice, especially the scrambled eggs. The dinner in the restaurant associated to the hotel is highly recommended. I don't know how to express my gratitude with word with the staff of the Hotel. I will repeat, that's for sure.
