The room was cold and also the water, floor in the bathroom. At the end, we figure it out how to turn the heater on. The staff should tell us as soon as we arrived....we order some appetizers, the staff did not come to p/u the tray and wine after...

    Rooms were very nice

A little challenging to be back by 8 pm when the park closes, but otherwise perfect!

The property was perfectly situated in Cerro Verde Park. Our rooms had spacious patios and stunning views of the Volcano. The rooms were clean (a bit musty) but the grounds were gorgeous and immaculate (including the bathrooms in the public space).

We didn’t know how to get hot water in the shower so the first day and a half we were taking very very cold showers. But the staff came to help!

The view from the room was amazing. The restaurant breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful

The shower was a little weak, but still worked perfectly fine.

Beautiful hotel with some incredible views. We had a room with a garden view and felt like we woke up in the jungle. The bed was really comfortable and the room incredibly spacious. The volcano can be seen from the restaurant or balcony area. Food was delicious and there were plenty of options, even for us vegetarians. It was the perfect place to relax in after climbing the volcano in the morning.

The floors were quite dirty and we only found out after cleaning up a water spill in our room. The bathroom window was also surrounded by black mold.

The views are great! We didn’t know we were staying in a national park. Beautiful flowers all around the property. Food was excellent, staff was great and the beds and space were comfortable.

The restaurant was too cold for me, bring a jacket. Also food was just ok, nothing special. Note that there is no hotel lounge to relax in only the restaurant and hotel bedrooms. There are food stalls in the car park ( where the hike starts) and a cafe just off the car park, these can be an alternative to the hotel restaurant.

The location ( being a 5 min walk to start of Santa Ana volcano hike) and the view of the Izalco volcano from hotel restaurant and terrace are the highlights of this hotel. We stayed 2 nights and the 1st day there was too much mist so we didn’t see much, the 2nd day however the view was spectacular! Keep this in mind if you book a volcano view room as you may not get the view! Friendly staff in reception.

The food is improvable. Especially dinner was unfortunately a bit cold and not so tasty. Maybe because of Easter time and a lot of outside people being there to eat. Very loud music in the restaurant.

Perfectly situated when planning to visit the Volcano and enjoy the scenery. Spacious room with amazing view. Very friendly, responsive and nice staff.

The only downside of my stay was apparently there was an "emergency" plumbing situation in the room next to mine, so my room experienced a lot of noise from the plumbers working and it reeked of sewage for half a day.

The best part of the location is the view of the volcano from your room, hopefully it's not a cloudy day and you get clear view. There were robes provided in the room, which I appreciated. The breakfast at the restaurant was decent. There is also a great view of the volcano from the balcony at the restaurant.

The "queen" beds feel like full-size to an American, so they are a little cramped but they are comfortable. They could also add screens on the windows, though there were surprisingly few bugs (only moths).

Casa 1800 Cerro Verde is the only hotel inside the park, so you do pay a premium to be there. I think it's worth it for at least a couple of nights so you can wake up to the views of the volcano. The onsite restaurant makes excellent breakfasts (including healthy ones) and is open all day. You'll see lots of tourists who don't stay at the hotel still enjoy the restaurant and its panoramic view. Try to get a volcano-view room if you can. The rooms themselves are nice, though there is a lot of humidity because of the constant cloud cover. I read others complain about hot water, but I thought it was plenty hot. Water pressure was a low, but that was true everywhere we stayed in El Salvador. I want to finish by saying that the staff here was particularly kind and helpful. There was one night where we didn't go to dinner at the restaurant and someone came by to our room before the kitchen closed to make sure we wouldn't go hungry! It was very thoughtful. They are also great about communicating via WhatsApp, which makes it easy to get help and suggestions for getting around.

Loovveeeddd this place! Nice and helpful people. Very serene. Love the volcano views. Side note: If you plan on being out after 8PM, it may not be the place for you. The park closes at 8. But it is a lovely place to relax, think, and read. Volcano hikes and small restaurant onsite! No AC or fans in room, but I was comfortable during my february stay.

We were not allowed to return into the property passed 8pm and had to wait till after 8am to be let out. Made it very hard to make plans in the afternoon and they made no exception for any reason. Kinda put a damper in our vacation.

We loved the area, the quiet, and the cool temperature of the location.
