Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt is a little bit secluded but we knew this and was the reason we booked this resort but might not be everyone’s ideal location.
A perfect, peaceful resort to end our 3 weeks of travel. We booked a two bed private pool villa. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were exceptionally friendly.

DenmarkThe showers couldn’t maintain a steady temperature and kept switching between very cold and scalding hot.
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We had the jacuzzi villa which was great and the buggy service made it easy to get from the villa area to the resort area. We especially liked the pool at the villa area.

United KingdomLocation was a little isolated but that didn’t bother us after 2 weeks travelling we were more than happy to chill in peace and quiet. The bar next to the hotel is great. We upgraded to all inclusive so didn’t need to leave. Maybe the hotel could do more of a shuttle bus into town regularly for those who will be going out, but didn’t bother us.
This hotel was our last stop travelling Thailand. We splashed out and it didn’t disappoint. The villa was incredible with a beautiful private pool. The hotel facilities were clean and the pools were amazing. A large complex but gold buggies always around if you have tiered legs. Food was amazing and staff were lovely. Wish we could have stayed for longer in this little piece of paradise!!!

United KingdomNothing to dislike. It was all excellent.
Apsara resort and villas Just leaving, after too short a stay! Lovely, well kept accommodation and gardens. Spotless facilities. A big uncrowded beach. A cool seafront bar with music worthy of Café del Mar. Excellent, welcoming staff everywhere. Good food. What more could one ask for? Well actually - despite the excellence of the main resort, the Villa side is even better. We had 823, a two bedroomed, beautifully designed luxury villa with its own pool. Entirely private and completely secluded, except for when we turned the “please clean our room” notice around. Indoor cool marble. Outdoor sunbeds and a covered area with table and chairs. Jacuzzi jets in the pool. Subtle lighting throughout. The Villa side of the resort also gives access to the Napolai restaurant with its excellent à la carte Thai menu and to the adjacent bar. It is truly lovely. Well worth the additional cost. Surprisingly, having brought our binoculars for wild-life spotting opportunities in the national Parks, we saw more birds and animals from our patio here than in the Khao Sok jungle, or any of the islands. Thank you to everyone here for looking after us so well!

United KingdomSituated on a lovely stretch of beautiful beach, quieter and more secluded than most other Khao Lak hotels. Great value, especially if you make the most of their 2-for-1 happy hours.

RomaniaWe stayed at the villa part and loved everything as it was perfect for us: quiet, elegant, close to the beach - walking distance through a pine wood beach small road! You could reach the main part via the bridge by food or with boogie ( they came pretty fast) or by the beach through the lagoon that depending on the tide level had water or not! I loved all this nature surroundings!
I loved the fact that was located in a long beautiful beach with amazing sunsets and close to the jungle and 10 min walk to an elephant sanctuary! Also I loved the fact that was away from any town and quite secluded as we wanted to rest and enjoy the nature! However, it had options for food and also close by on the beach were 2 bars where you could eat, and enjoy drinks and sunsets! The resort is divided in 2 sections : the Villas build in 2012 with 2 types of villas ( with pool and with jacuzzi) that was more secluded and more quiet , had its own restaurant with Thai food very quiet and refined and its own two pools also quiet and good for lap swimming ! It has also a small gym and from the pool through a beautiful pine tree area you could walk in shade to the beach and the external Memories Restaurant ( Thai Food) Bar& Memories surf school and beach massage ( where you could pay by card as well)! The apartments area was also nice and their longer pool was amazing to use at sunsets ( was also empty)! It had a very nice beach bar with mediteranean food ! We preferred to have dinners there or we ordered at our pool Villa pizza from there as it was delicious! The apartment side had also a big nice restaurant for breakfast that was used for the families with all inclusive option, we never used it as our at the Villa side was nicer but for families with small kids the apartment part is a better option ! We have older kids and wanted a more quiet place !

South AfricaThe sea was rather far away due to the size of the beach and the river between the hotel and the beach. There was limited choice of close by restaurants. The hotel restaurants were rather pricey.
The breakfast was good, we loved the beachfront restaurant and we were very satisfied with the staff. The view was amazing and we had a very refreshing swimming pool.

AustraliaNot really a negative but the resort is quite isolated, a 10 min taxi ride into Khao Lak. This is great if you just want to plonk in one place, but not if you like to wander around local shops.
Terrific resort with 3 eating options, on the beach and very nice pool. We had a beach front room - it was lovely to wake up to a beautiful view, bed was very comfortable. Staff were all very helpful. Food was excellent, great variety and quality. We loved the beach bar (Karkinos) - very reasonably priced and great pizza.

PolandOnly problem was a highly not-reliable wifi, but mobile internet in Thailand is fast and cheap so it didn't spoil the stay.
Amazing place if you want to be secluded, in a quite, calm place. Right next to an amazing beach, very good for beginner surfers. Definitely not for party-goers cause town is over 20min away with taxi - this was a plus for me
