Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. United KingdomWould definitely stay here again. Great value, great vibes.
Couldn’t have picked a better place. The location is unbeatable, right in the Old City so I could walk to temples, the Sunday walking street, and tons of cafes. The staff were lovely and super helpful, always smiling and ready with recommendations. The room was spotless, bed was comfy, and the aircon was quiet (a big win in the Chiang Mai heat right now). There’s also a pool area which became my little escape after wandering around in the sun, not huge, but clean and peaceful. Only small thing is there’s no breakfast, but there are many great coffee shops just around the corner, so it wasn’t really an issue.

United KingdomThe location couldn’t be more convenient, it's located in the central of old city and a few steps from plenty of cafes and restaurants. The hotel is spotless and feels well cared for, and the facilities are in great shape. What really impressed me was the staff, they’re genuinely friendly, professional, and always ready to help with anything. For the quality and service, the price is more than fair. I left with a really good feeling about this place.

IrelandThe location is perfect, right in the Old City, close to everything. The room was clean, comfy, and had all the basics I needed. I especially liked the little leisure area downstair, super chill for relaxing or planning your day. The pool was beautiful, it was a nice bonus to cool off. The staff were lovely and always happy to help. Would totally stay here again.

United KingdomThere are a lot of rules… printed out and laminated in the room …in duplicate… perhaps in case you each need your own copy!
Great location in the old city, comfortable beds and nice showers, spotlessly clean. V usefully located 2 doors away from a 24 hour laundrette. Lots of restaurants around. Small but nice pool, (although open to the road). Polite staff, although very direct.

NetherlandsPool was in a sort of public area. You should check the hotel on google maps. For us it wasn’t a problem but I imagine it could be.
We had our clothes washed here while we were staying. After they brought the clothes back there was a tear in it. We went to the staff, they said to leave it with them and that they would make sure it was fixed later that day. Within 2 hours it came back looking as new. This was in addition to the fact they were extremely nice throughout the rest of the stay. Amazing people, nice hotel and a cool pool.

SwedenBathroom was a little dated and the toilet roll holder and towel rack were loose.
Great value for money. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful- Laundry service, help organising a trip to the sticky waterfalls, extra cover and hangers were no problem to get. The cleaning service was so good. The location meant the place was quiet but still close to everything. The towel rack becacame detached from the wall and we mentioned it at the reception when leaving for dinner. When we returned an hour later it was fixed. Great service.

United StatesI stayed at the hotel for a few nights and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Tucked away on a quiet lane inside the Old City, the hotel has a peaceful atmosphere but is still just a short walk from major attractions like the famous walking street market. The check-in was smooth and friendly, and the staff were genuinely welcoming without being overly formal. My room was clean, well-designed, and very comfortable, with crisp linens, good lighting, and a cozy feel. Although not that large, the room had everything I needed, air-conditioning worked great, there was a fridge, complimentary water, and a safe. The bathroom was compact but spotless, with strong water pressure and instant hot water which works great. One thing I really appreciated was the quiet, I had a great night’s sleep with no outside noise. There’s a swimming pool in the courtyard, which I didn’t expect for this price range, and it was a lovely spot to cool off and relax. The service was warm, efficient, and personal, they even helped me arrange an early taxi to the airport. For the price and location, I think Cozytel is a fantastic option, clean, stylish, quiet, and with lovely service.

United StatesI stayed at Cozytel Chiang Mai for a few nights and honestly had a great experience. The staff were super friendly and helpful from the start, always smiling and ready to answer questions or give recommendations. It made the whole stay feel really welcoming. The location is fantastic, it was easy to walk to the temples, cafes, and the Sunday Night Market. At the same time, the hotel is on a quiet street, so it felt peaceful and not noisy at all. One thing that really surprised me was the pool, it’s actually quite large considering the size of the hotel. It’s very clean, well-maintained, and such a bonus after a hot day of walking around. The room was simple but very clean and comfortable. The bed was good, the AC worked well, and the bathroom had hot water with decent pressure. Housekeeping came every day and did a great job. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, and friendly place in Chiang Mai.

United StatesThe AC didn’t really get as cold a we would have liked. Always tough when you only get one room key which also activates the power to the room. (I get it, trying to save on electricity costs, but makes it so the ac can never really catch up. The safe in the room was good just for wallets, passports and small items, wasn’t big enough for my laptop or tablet (wasn’t really an issue though). Lastly, while the free bike rental was nice, the bikes didn’t have any rear brakes and the seats would not stay in position while riding (what do you expect for free I guess)
Wonderful location in the heart of the Old City. So many things to see and explore right from the doorstep. The room as comfortable and clean. Felt very safe in the area at all times of night or day. Front desk people were very friendly and helpful and helped us book excursions. The pool was refreshing and not busy. Actually liked that the lounge chairs were not in the direct sun during the day. Free bicycle rental was a nice perk. Also, felt like we were the only people there!

AustraliaReally enjoyed my stay at Cozytel. The location is perfect, right in the city center and super easy to walk everywhere, since it’s on a main road. But even though it’s central, it was surprisingly quiet at night, which I really appreciated. The room was spacious and clean, with a nice balcony facing the pool. AC was cool and quiet, and there were lots of plugs for charging devices, super convenient. The pool area was a great place to relax. It was spotless, with plenty of seating, and even had a little work setup with a table and strong wifi, perfect for getting a bit of work done outside. Staff were really friendly and quick to respond to anything I needed. Overall, great value and a super comfortable stay.

United KingdomIt was my second time at Cozytel, I love it. Location is perfect in the old Town with everything at walking distance, yet the street is very quiet and feels like an oasis in a bubbly city. Coffee shops and convenience stores are a few minutes away, so are the gorgeous temples. The rooms are very clean with everything you need (toiletries, kettle, tea/coffee, hairdryer... and even umbrellas). Wifi is good if you need to work. I love that there are bicycles at disposition for free, which is super convenient. The best thing is the staff, reception and housekeeping, everyone is so lovely, helpful and considerate. I will surely come back to Cozytel next time I'm in Chiang Mai!

United KingdomEverything was perfect, our stay was super comfortable, quiet, and easy. The location was great, with attractions and restaurants just a short walk away, so we didn’t even need a bike or Grab. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfy and even bigger than most hotels in Thailand. The staff spoke great English and went out of their way to give us the best recommendations for our trip. The hotel itself was beautiful, well-kept, and absolutely spotless.

ThailandThe only thing I missed was breakfast at the hotel, but there's a great restaurant just 50 meters away.
My stay at Cozytel Chiang Mai was honestly one of the most comfortable I’ve had. The room was spotless, with a super comfy bed, fresh linens, and everything neatly arranged. The AC worked perfectly, which was a lifesaver after being out in the heat all day. The bathroom was really clean, with great water pressure. I also liked the little touches, plenty of outlets, soft lighting, and a cozy atmosphere that made it feel really inviting. What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were incredibly warm and welcoming. They were so polite and genuinely kind, making sure I had everything I needed without being intrusive. It felt like they truly cared about making my stay comfortable. The location was super convenient since it’s in the Old City, but what I loved most was how peaceful it was at night. Even though I was close to everything, I could come back to a quiet and relaxing space. It was such a great balance of comfortable, welcoming, and just an all-around great experience.

The staff are always friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome every time. Rooms are clean, comfy, and quiet, and the swimming pool is a great bonus. It is very well-maintained, and the poolside area is perfect for relaxing, reading, or even getting some work done. The whole place has a peaceful vibe despite being in such a central area. Very much enjoyed.our stay at the Cozytel. The receptionist (Dao) was kind, welcoming and super helpful. We needed help booking 2 trips and Dao arranged it all for us as soon as we checked in. Our rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet and, although the pool is a bit chilly, it's in such a lovely and relaxing setting. The Inside cafe was a great place to go for breakfast and lots of places to eat and shops in Chiang Mai. We went on the elephant Sanctuary half day trip which was a lovely experience and Mama Noi cookery school which was excellent. All the staff were a credit to the hotel and if I returned to Chiang Mai, I would definitely stay at the Cozytel.
