    We stayed in the bird house, This room was very small. No room to open a suitcase. And with my partner's towering height, he had to bend and twist just to avoid banging his head.

    The staff were very nice. They arrived on time for the tour we booked.

    It's a bit noisy because of the birds just under your room. Better prepare sleeping earbuds to relax :)

    A very interesting concept of the room on the top of the cage with birds. Everything around is made with love and style, a lot of lights and very cosy in the evening time. The breakfast is absolutely magnificent. Very nice area near the river, a lot of spots to take a good photo.

    On Christmas Day, December 25, 2024, I booked a King Room with Mountain View - Tree House (later I learned it’s called the Bird Room - Tree House) for 4,800 THB. Upon arrival, I discovered the room was incredibly small, and instead of a mountain view, the room overlooked a parking lot and a laundry area. While I could somewhat accept this, what truly bothered me was that directly beneath the room was a bird cage, surrounded by the resort’s small zoo. I politely requested to change room and was willing to pay the price difference. However, the resort asked me to directly call the management by phone call. The management person informed me that the presence of the bird cage under the room was clearly stated in all promotional materials (I didn’t find this information on Booking.com — I suggest the app double-check this). Additionally, I was told I’d need to pay an extra 1,000 THB. I pointed out that the price difference displayed in their social media was around 600–700 THB. The management person then added another 300 THB as a cleaning fee for the new room—despite the fact that I hadn’t even stepped into or used the original room at all. In the end, I paid the additional cost simply because I was too frustrated to listen to her argument any further. But from that moment, all the positive feelings I had about this place vanished. Honestly, the extra 300 THB wasn’t the issue—I could afford it without any problem. What left a sour taste was the way the situation was handled. (In the end, I ended up paying 5,800 THB for a Deluxe Studio Room.) On a personal note, I couldn’t help but feel that the resort’s policy and overall attitude conveyed a sense of “Even without customers, I don’t care. If you don’t like it, don’t come.” (Again, this is just my personal impression.) (#Top management commitment —> policy —> process —> procedures —> work instructions —> customers perception) The resort earned 300 baht but lost the loyalty that customer had for it.

    To be fair, everything (material stuff) about the resort was excellent. The view was beautiful, the atmosphere peaceful, and the amenities top-notch—SMEG fridge, Harman Kardon speakers, etc. However, all my positive feelings were erased over an additional charge 300 THB. The amenities at the resort are like those in first class, but I was treated as if I were a staff traveller using a discounted ticket. (Material luxury, but not spiritual comfort and luxury.)
