Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe rooms were tiny and the walls were literally paper thin. We could hear everything around us including talking, passing wind and making love!
Location was great for ease of access to the old town bars and restaurants. It was very clean.

CyprusThis is the only place in Thailand where I wasn't greeted with a smile. Checking in felt more like being at some immigration office. I requested late check out - never received any response. Reception doesn't speak English and are unbothered about you. No "thank you" no "goodbye". Did not feel welcomed there.
The place itself offers a lovely insight of the old town architecture. I enjoyed beautiful wooden stairs and decor, fish pond and refreshments placed next to it (tea, coffee). Location was great- next to all the cute shops and restaurants/ cafes. Also beautiful Buddhist and Chinese temples in just 5min.walk.

CanadaSome of the rooms are VERY noisy - it has to do with no sound proofing. It was absolutely “crash bang!!” a lot of the time as if someone was shoving furniture around very carelessly (which of course they weren’t, but … REALLY very intrusive noise!!) The internet only works some of the time. I told the owner and he said it was because I had my phone on airplane mode. I tried to tell him that I always have it on airplane mode when I travel but he wouldn’t listen. He just kept talking louder! I tried to tell him that it worked at his guest house yesterday while on airplane mode, but he wouldn’t listen. He just kept talking “at” me louder!! I don’t know his name but I found him to be quite rude and impatient!
Neat and clean, location, they provided hot water for coffee…

Lovely little shop house guesthouse right in the centre of the Old Town. The room was compact but quite perfect and with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom good with free toiletries and there was complimentary tea and coffee on the ground floor

EstoniaFor a longer stay I would think twice because the room is very small, but we knew that and we did not mind at all, since we stayed for 1 night.
Loved the location and the vibe of the hotel - in the center of the Old Town. Felt more cozy and prettier than the pictures. The host was friendly, and for the price of the room, it was super! Would definitely book again.

United Arab EmiratesRude staff, unavailable most of the hours, couldn’t get another towel as they were not available. They don’t speak English so having a conversation is very difficult, and they are very old, zero patience, unwilling to even have a conversation.
Location and perfect for the price

PolandCleaning service was coming once a day in the morning when we were still in bed. They did not come later in any day (and we stayed 4 nights), they just kept leaving water bottles under our door but no toilet paper, they also did not make up our room later in the day. The hotel should think about getting the „don’t disturb”/„please make up my room” signs and offer cleaning more than once a day in the morning - since not everybody leaves hotel with first rays of sunshine.

ThailandSince the floors were made by wood. I could hear the sound of the room above me and under me. It's quite difficult for me to sleep at night and early in the morning. you will hear people walking and talking sound.
The location is perfect! It's on the old town street. Easy to walk to local restaurants. The building and the room is Chinoportugeuese Style,so you can enjoy the classic vibe here.

DenmarkUnfortunately we got a room above the street and it was not fun any longer, when my child 5 years old should sleep....but the street was peaceful at 11 pm. It is possible to hear others !!! As if they were in the room. Fortunately they went to bed early. My child was badly bitten by mosquitoes this night 😔 we used repeller, apparently not enough and now I worry about dengue fever. Please spray the rooms 🙏
To sum up it was great! The hosts do not speak english very well, but are so very friendly and helpful. Fortunately we could check in before 2 pm. We were helped and showed to the room. In the room water, toilet articles, just everything you need -(apart from safety box!)The hotel is small, simple and very authentic, is placed very central at the Thalang Road, we had a small balcony and could look down at the street. There is a small patio with fish downstairs. The hotel does not serve breakfast, but it is possible to get water and coffee in the morning. Greeeeaaat value for money.

The place has a no-nonsense approach and I liked it. No chit chat no unnecessary cheering just the blunt facts. Owners are a bit difficult with English but we could communicate just fine. They even let us use the little 'kitchen ' corner to have some tea in the morning. Also the place is right at the heart of old town. Rooms are a bit small but furniture is good and functional.

United KingdomWalls were quite thin so could hear some noises next door. The door didn’t seem particularly secure to leave valuables (and no safe). The air con was a bit weak and noisy.
The location was great, the room was very nice and you couldn’t hear the road at all. There was a nice terrace. Communal area looked nice though we didn’t use it. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.

United States of AmericaSound from the hotel seemed to travel from the courtyard, so if you’re a light sleeper, earplugs might help. And a sleep mask—there are no heavy curtains. Just some things to plan for so you can have as lovely a stay as I did.
I loved the old feel—the wood floors, the stained glass, the staircases. I got the most basic room (standard queen) and it was small but suited me. It was clean and charming and the bathroom felt recently remodeled. For this room, the light comes through stained glass windows leading to the hall and an interior courtyard, so there’s no view, but I was on the third floor and there was plenty of light. The location is perfect, and it was a nice retreat to have while exploring Old Town.
