Location . All main restaurants and attractions were easily accesible from the hotel. Taxis, train were easily accessible from the hotel; the hotel staff was knowledgeable about best routes, pricing, and places to visit. Safety: the hotel is located in an area safe for tourists, plenty of places to shop and visit. Food establishments and supermarkets abound and are safe to visit .

That’s our second time staying at Meroddi Barnathan. We love it. Location is great. Close to everything. 2 min to walk to Beyoğlu, Galata tower right next to it. You have the breakfast at the roof top with Panoramic Bosphorus view. I reckon we will stay there again when we visit Istanbul next time.

Some rooms are slightly small, but overall comfortable. Besides, everything was perfect.

The hotel is located in a pretty neighbourhood where you find shops and restaurants attracting tourists as well as locals. From there it’s easy to get around the city. The building is well appointed and the rooms are comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and approachable - big thanks to Samira in particular. The breakfast is truly fantastic and arranged in a terrace with an incredible view which is just the best way to start your day! Totally recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Meroddi Hotel! We were welcomed with a sweet treat upon arrival, and a birthday cake was even brought out during breakfast — such a thoughtful touch. We also enjoyed a complimentary non-alcoholic drink in the hotel’s lovely garden on our first day. The staff were incredibly helpful and responsive, assisting us with everything we needed. We lost our room card, and they kindly provided a replacement without any hassle. The view of Galata from the hotel is stunning, and having direct access to the Galata Tower made it the perfect location. Highly recommended!

A little noisy if your room is facing the main street.

Loved the service from beginning to end, very friendly and helpful staff. Room was big and comfortable. Windows faced the busy street which was quite noisy, but the hotel provided earplugs beforehand which worked perfectly. Breakfast was delicious and a good spread. Attention to details were great!

Despite being advertised as non smoking our room smelt of cigarette smoke. We made the reception aware and they were very inderstanding, washing the curtains and giving the room a deep clean. This did not remove the smell so they moved us to a different room. The hotel staff did all they could to fix the issue for us, it's just a shame people smoke in the rooms when they shouldn't.

This is a gem of a hotel with an amazing spread for breakfast, fabulous roof terrace and restaurant and beautiful rooms (we also had a spectacular view of the Galata tower, from the bathtub!). The location is brilliant if you want to be in the Galata tower area. Friendly staff on reception and in dining areas.

We stayed for our anniversary and when we specify this they put a cake and a bottle of wine in our room to celebrate our special day. We enjoyed so much and are happy that we celebrated our third anniversary here

The room was perhaps a bit small for us for worked perfectly for our visit as we spent all day exploring the city. We’d recommend booking a slightly bigger room if you have lots of luggage or are staying more than 3 nights. The previous guest had left acne plasters stuck on the shower wall, which were well disguised so the cleaning staff missed them.

The hotel is perfectly located and beautifully decorated. The breakfast on the roof terrace is fantastic, the views are unmatched. We booked the small bedroom, which had great views to the Galata Tower. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. They even offered to pack up lunch for us on our delivery day and they left us some snacks and Turkish sweets on a bag on our second day.

It was a bit noisy at night, but I guess it's difficult to avoid the noise when you stay in the center of Istanbul.

We loved the spot where the hotel was located - it was very central and we were surrounded by restaurants bars and shops. It was also quite easy to reach all touristic attractions by foot. The staff at the reception and restaurant were very friendly and welcoming. They were enthusiastic about sharing with us some tips about Istanbul and Turkey in general. Our room was cleaned daily and they even left us some gifts, as we were celebrating our anniversary 🎁 We would definitely come back to Meroddi Barnathan in our next visit ❤️

Our stay was perfect in this hotel, everything was so tidy and well organised. Room was very spacious and tidy. The breakfast on rooftop is amazing, so delicious with a view on Galata. Beautiful period property very close to Galata tower (we could see the tower from outside our window!) we came for our honeymoon and they had our petals on the bed, a lovely handwritten note, delicious cake and wine. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and varied with a beautiful roof terrace with views across Istanbul. Room was very clean and replenished with waters every day.

Since location is very centric and popular in Galata, nighttime street noise could be an issue. It didn't particularly bother me but some guests may find it disturbing. The hotel acknowledges this by providing complimentary earplugs, another sign of great attention to detail.

Excellent classical interior design, very attentive customer relations and jaw dropping views from the rooftop terrace. Reception desk will make sure you have all the info you need to optimise your visit, Ibrahim was particularly helpful and attentive.
