Cleanliness and staff friendliness was number one thing I am excited about. I have been in Turkey more than 5 times and haven’t had so clean room like this one. People working at hotel made me special breakfast I asked for, so they got 10 points for that one as well. We came in a group of 9 people, it was best decision to use this hotel because we could use terrace to hang out together after hard days in shopping. We could also bring our food and drink and enjoy evening in perfect view.

Perfect location - 10-15 mins to the main landmarks. The room was clean and spacious. There are mini fridge, kettle ( also tea/coffee), a bottle of water, cups and all other things mentioned in the room’s description. The administrator is very polite and helpful. I needed a transfer and it was arranged in 1 hour, which was really quickly. Overall, I enjoyed the stay and will choose this hotel for the next visit to Istanbul.

rooms are small but that is expected considering the location and standards around the area.

Amazing hospitality. they did their best to accommodate all our requests. Rooms are pretty neat and clean. we are 4 families with 6 young kids travelled together and loved our stay there. on the first glance you may not like the area but it is the best area to stay. very close to tourist places. many restaurants near by. very near to Grand bazaar. easy to avoid Istanbul traffic and get onto highway. Omar and Shahzad were very helpful to us. their efforts are much appreciated.

I tried to find what I don't like... 🤔 It was hard. The stairs and hallways are narrow, but guys...... I don't remember ever sleeping in the hallway or on the stairs. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Let me start with the rating of the hotel, it really is real.10/10👌 This hotel is located in a neighborhood (Kumkapi) that is a CHARMING CHAOS. The attitude of the staff is very warm. On the roof terrace you can drink your coffee, tea or beer, with a view... Sea, seagulls and the architectural chaos is great 😍. This is a family hotel where the staff treat you like a guest in their house, not like a normal hotel! Clean, tidy, the rooms are wide. There is an elevator. And all you need to even stay longer. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, in the small streets, life is bubbling in restaurants and cafes with live music and young people on the street. There are tram and train stops nearby.

One of the greatest hotels I stayed so far, the Hotel is perfectally located, close to the metro if you want to visit Istanbul’s other areas but also close enough to see the Fatih Area by foot. The Room was very comfortable & clean + it has everything you need. The terrace also has a perfect view. The staff treats you like youre part of their family which is heartwarming. Always ready to help with anything. It was perfect!

We were looking for an inexpensive but friendly and clean hotel in Istanbul. Palmera Old City ticked all the boxes. As it is family run, the atmosphere is super friendly: the rooms are basic but clean and equipped with all that is needed when you just need a place to sleep. The terrace has a beautiful view! Ömer and his family were very helpful and forthcoming.

A truly remarkable stay. First we found the hotel to be of the highest standard clean , modern and safe. The location is also excellent with shops restaurants and attractions all walking distance. The service was more than what you would expect from a hotel it felt like we were visiting family. We interacted with both Omar and Shahzad who both were extremely kind and accommodating. They both are so welcoming and gave great recommendations whether it’s places to shop or planning things to do. The restaurants they recommended are the best in the area with affordable prices. They also have an airport transport service which I highly advise . Any questions you have do not hesitate to ask the hotel. If you are coming to Istanbul this hotel is a must stay I look forward to returning next time I’m in Istanbul.
