The evening entertainment or at the very least hotel needs to update their snooker que's.

The hotel is exceptionally quiet, away from the hustle and bustle from local tradesmen. I enjoyed watching the sea at high and low tide. At low tide, the sea reveals its treasures for the locals to collect and earn an honest (halal) income. Amazing to watch and experience.

I think for some people the breakfast might not have enough variety, but we always had enough to eat and never left the breakfast table feeling hungry.

If you are not used to seeing third world countries or knowing what poverty looks like, then Zanzibar will give you lots perspective. I really liked where Mnarani cottages are situated. It was nice being away from the busy beach on the west side. People don't come and bother you to sell you stuff the whole time. Which can be really tiresome after some time. But that being said it is also incredibly easy and quick to get to that side if you want to. So best of both. During low tide you can go for long walks or runs and during high tide you can swim from the resort. I suggest walking on the East side of the beach if you don't want to be bothered by people. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. The food and drinks are sold in dollars which can get expensive if your home currency is not as strong. I suggest going to restaurants that sell food in shillings. All the seafood is great. There are no real shops/“supermarkets” so we only ate at restaurants which can increase your budget. Draw all your cash at the airport! There is only 1 ATM we could find behind and like 100m to the right of the restaurant Mamma Mia.

The resort has past its better days. The equipment in our room was oldish, and the mosquito net did not completely cover our bed. However, our main issue was with the checkout. They have signs in Reception claiming that you can have a late checkout, as long as you notify it beforehand. We tried to notify it to the staff at Reception twice the day before and in both times they told us "Come back tomorrow after breakfast, we do not know if we will be able to accomodate your request". They wouldn't even tell us if there was a booking for our room that day, so that we could foresee if we'd have to leave early or not. Anyways, we waited to the last day to request our late checkout as indicated, and they tried to charge 10 $ per each hour we extended our checkout for.

The hotel is located in a quiet part of Nungwi, with its own section of beach. You can enjoy the sunrise, and you have a good viewpoint of the sunset 5 minutes away. You have 4-5 restaurants in a walking distance. The rooms are confortable and the breakfast is correct.

Poor maintance, hygiene, housekeeping and interior bug control.

The location is great, direct to the beach with CRAZY MAGICAL ocean view, our room was a superior ocean view room. The property is close to variety of shops and restaurants still secluded at the same time. The cottages/room were spacious with hammock on the balcony which was awesome. However, it is poorly maintained for example shower heads are broken, and toilet shower leaks so the toilet is always wet. In the closet area there was this whole that was bugs haven. They don’t spray the rooms for bugs, insects, lizards…etc. getting bitten while asleep is a given. After the sunsets, all lizards, scorpions, spiders, cockroaches are on the rooms’ stairway and balconies, so we didn’t go out after sunset for ANY reason. Their service is SLOW, and lacking in certain areas, for the new room we checked in to, we had to ask for pool towels, hand soap, toilet paper, blankets. Their housekeeping is only making the bed, since we had to spray our cottage we also had to clean up after, housekeeping doesn’t actually clean the room, since we stayed for 8 nights we definitely noticed. Their breakfast is VERY poor, no options what so ever. Breakfast staff is friendly though. In general, the feeling that everyone is expecting a tip was overwhelming. ++ just an FYI, they don’t have room service.

Our first economy room was so small as to be unlivable for 4 nights. No seating inside, cramped, no room for suitcases. The door-lock system was frozen, the safe didn't work. We were transferred to a larger room, with seating inside, a fridge, great AC, ample closet area, and bathroom - 3 rooms. Our comfort went from unbearable for 4 nights to very comfortable. We were April off-season, so food choices on the limited menu were even more limited by unavailability. However, I ate the best tuna steak ever. Investigate your room selection carefully, before you commit. No walking beach.

Friendliness, helpfulness of the staff. Superb view, cooling central pool.

We were in a 2-floor apartman, and on the gallery it was very hot during the night, while in the ground floor it was cold, when we switched on the air-conditioner, because the cold air stayed downstairs. But there was a big air-propeller, which was good!

Beautiful surroundings and see view, nice swimmingpool, very kind staff, delicious food, good location, very quiet, peaceful and safe place, we loved it!

The value for money compared to our other stays in Zanzibar (in other areas), this was definitely the weakest. The rooms and building feel a bit old. The curtains in our bathroom had mold, and the balcony door did not close unless locked with the key. We were also not super happy with the breakfast selection - juices watered down, fruits are often warm because out for a while. Another thing that shocked us is that guests are not allowed to take their own drinks inside the hotel? Never seen this anywhere else.

The location is amazing and the beachfront is beautiful. Rooms themselves were clean, nice balcony view over the ocean. The resting areas on the beach with hanging beds, etc, were nice right by the ocean

The rooms equiped with quit old furniture, they should start to renovate the rooms. The food offer, menu of the restaurant is a little poor. But there are plenty possibilities around.

Nice cosy place, quite area, no beach boys, no Massais, no sellers. We felt secure, there was 24hours security. Staff was very helpfull and friendly Perfect massage facilities

The restaurant/food was descent, but could have been better for the price level. You need to walk ~25 minutes to get to the restaurants on the west coast, although there are some restaurants closer to the hotel. The standard room are basic, but had everything we required. The mattress and pillows were a little bit hard, and there were no fridge in the room. However, guests are not allowed to bring alcohol into the premises, so all drinks needs to be purchased in the bar.

Great location, right on the beach with stunning view. It’s a little bit out of the way from the west coast of Nungwi, which is more crowded and touristy. For us this was an advantage, as beach here was more peaceful, and there were not so many «beach boys» in the area. The outside area of the hotel was great with palm trees, sun beds and hammocks. Simply perfect for a relaxing day at the beach. The staff was wonderful and really was one of the best things about this hotel!

Sometimes staff was ”out” and did not understood orderings so always check your roombills. They also sell snorklingtrips + delfinitours but those are nonsense > very dead and poor atolli and lots of bosts trying to find delfines.

Swimmingpool rather small and crowded as swimming in the ocean is not always an option (currents, strong winds, tides). Breakfast and food in restaurant could be better in view of what you pay for it.

Beach resort next to the lighthouse. Comfortable room and bathroom, bar is overlooking the ocean. Ocean view room has a nice terrace to relax. The so called annoying beach boys are not interested even as a solo women, if you express a solid NO and you dress properly.
