Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

India1. The washroom attached with our room was not so good. It’s like just a wall barrier to the living room. You wouldn’t want to go to washroom or toilet while your partner is there in the room given how they have constructed it. I used the common toilets. Wish i had booked a room lower to this since this very facility felt useless. 2. It’s a little away from Jinja city. Better you take care of own transport since the person at desk will milk you dry if you get a quote. I could get a better deal from my previous day Uber driver than what this front desk guy was offering. Exorbitant.
In the midst of nature, lively and truly an experience.

NamibiaFresh water in the tents were provided only on the first day - it should be replenished every day of stay (same price every day). The rooms were never cleaned or tidied during our stay.
Casual atmosphere. Right on the river. White river rafting was great fun and very professionally done.

MalaysiaThat I couldn't stay longer. It was sad to leave.
Fantastic location. The view of The Nile from my tent was great way to end my day and to start the next morning. It was comfortable and I had good sleep. I expected mosquitoes but there were none. Lots of opportunities to see different types of monkeys. Breakfast was good with great coffee. The staff are very welcoming and efficient.

IrelandThe location was excellent, with amazing views across the Nile. We had the family cottage - it was perfect for our needs. The bar/food area was lovely, especially at night when lit up.

AustraliaSome of the communal areas are getting a bit tired and could maybe do with a bit of an upgrade.
Lovely location on the Nile; tents are comfortable with a great view; lots of bathrooms; staff are very friendly and accommodating; easy to organise many activities; very good value for money

FranceEven though it was low season and few people were there, one still senses how it is tailored towards towards mass tourism. Capacity of 200 guests, tents that are way to close to each, no real soul. Music with deep basses was playing until 11pm even though there were no guests at the bar sometimes, and depending on your accommodations location you definitely hear it.
I came for the monkeys and the view, and I wasn't disappointed. Great place for that, you can literally spot them from your bed in the tent if you have the tent open.

United KingdomAs it was low season, it was not easy to arrange activities as the water-related ones provided by the lodge (white water tubing, rafting, and sunset cruise) all required a min. of 4 people - which I struggled to find. However, 'Kayak the Nile' is also based on the premises and they were able to offer white water kayaking for two people, which was really good fun! The lodge is also along a dirt road, about 20mins from Jinja town, and the boda bodas were asking for high prices to travel to the lodge, which made it less practical for a solo traveller using public transport. Still had a great time though!
The place was lovely, with a beautiful viewpoint, regular monkey visitors, and all activities could (in theory) be arranged from the premises. The dinner options were not super broad (mostly chips/fish, chips/burgers and other convenient food) but the vegetarian options were good and I think the prices were fair. I think it could be a really fun place to stay during high season.

FranceThe view is amazing! Breakfast is great, the place is nice with plenty of options. The staff is really nice. Prices for food (no table service) and activities are too expensive imo. The cleanliness of my room was bad: walls, windows... The place needs refurbishment /painting The wifi is terribly poor. Definitely need to invest a little in that in 2025.

Location. Lots of birds and 2 species of monkeys. It's a great place to chill with hot showers and free breakfast. It seems a bit run down now but I think because it's low season. The staff was kind.

GermanyLoud music at times from the neighbours/the bar. I'd enjoy listening to the crickets and frogs much more.. Also, the area needs to be protected better - the riverbanks and islands seem to be getting degraded more and more as every piece of land is cultivated or constructed on.
I liked the tent, it's very comfy and has beautiful views. There are monkeys and birds around and the trees are very lovely. The staff is fun and kind and there is generally a good vibe. I will definitely come back here, I loved it!
