To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of Americaparking was $45 dollars a night, also there was a $30 fee per day for “amenities” that most hotels provide for free, which included things like wifi and access to the gym which is normally included free of charge at most hotels. also felt like the room was very very small and a little beat up for how much money we spent to stay there.
great location, easy walk to river walk or many hot spots in downtown Chicago. really cute lobby and bar area that is nicely decorated.

United States of AmericaThe destination/resort fee was a waste. The things it’s supposed to include are complementary at most hotels. The WiFi was trash. We were in a room at the very end of the hall and got zero signal because we were too far from the router. Neither my laptop nor cellphone could connect from the room. When I walked a few feet into the hallway, I was able to get a connection. When I asked the staff about this, they suggested I restart my devices, and when that did not solve the issue, they suggested it must still be my device that’s the problem.
It was easy to find and very centrally located.

MexicoThe location since it is a 10 min walk to Michigan Av and a 10 min walk to Millenum Park. It also has access to a publik parking which is less than a block away.
Hotel decoration, room confrontes and size + a great location in Chicago. It definitley exceeded my expectations, bust they still need a good dinning room.

The location can't be beat! Very walkable to so many things. We also loved the coffee service in the morning and the lobby area for a quiet place to get a bit of work done.

The room had everything we needed. While a bit "tired" it was clean and comfy and quite big. When I arrived, Nick checked me in and insisted on walking outside with me to show me how to get to the parking.

United KingdomRooms a little tired and a bit disappointing compared to the lovely lobby. Free drinks were being handed out for guests but nobody told us this and it looked like a private event. Luckily I'm not shy so asked! Free for guests at the weekend. We asked about Happy Hour...nobody really knew and we found out it was at the restaurant bar and not the lobby bar. we went down to this bar and asked the bored looking hostesses. They said bar was full - all 8 stools! haha! We asked if we could sit at one of the 50000 empty tables, which we could. A bit more common sense and personality needed. Bar staff - we asked which drinks were happy hour and they went through with us, we ordered them and then were charged full price...and then had to wait for a refund with no apology. We didn't go back which was a shame as we would have tried the food! The small things make impressions.
The hotel lobby is beautiful. Staff friendly especially a lady we met in the lobby who had been working there for many many years - Esther I think her name was. excellent location baggage left luggage available close to all the attractions nice safe feeling area next door to a theatre
