Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The pool area needed some updates. The shower in the pool needs a new control knob, it was either hot or cold. Breakfast area was small, and options limited.
We loved the fact that they provided a limo to take us downtown to dinner, and back. Friendly staff. The view of the sunset from our room was a bonus.

I paid $204 plus tax for one night. Upon check out I was given someone else's receipt,which I handed back to the desk clerk. That other person paid $149 per night plus tax.

There were stains on the carpet in our room.
It was very unique. I felt like we stepped back into 1980. There was a jacuzzi tub in our room with mirrors around it. The staff was very nice and overall good room for the price.

When I booked my hotel, I asked for a Jacuzzi tub and they said it wouldn't be a problem. When I called about 1 week prior to my stay the Manager told me that my room didn't come with 1 and they didn't have anything left. Her response was "well that's booking.com for you". She didn't try in any way to make up for it. I was really disappointed with the lack of customer service in this situation.
I.loved the complimentary Limo ride to the casino. The breakfast was really good. And everyone was really nice and wanted to hear all about my sons soccer tournament as well as my night at the casino. The only person that wasn't friendly was the Manager, she wasn't rude or anything, just didn't seem like she wanted to be there. She just didn't seem happy.

The property was older than we expected, but it was still an enjoyable stay.

My only complaint is that there was supposed to be a microwave in my room , but there wasn’t. I couldn’t heat up all my great leftovers 🫤
The location was great!! Amazing view from the 3rd floor. Within walking distance of many shops and the ferry.

A man from housekeeping banged on my door scaring me to death without identifying himself as housekeeping. This was my last day an hour prior to my checkout time of 12pm (late checkout). I had latecheck out after working a 5 day/12h stretch and trying to sleep for a few hours before driving home for 3 hours. Very unprofessional.
The hotel is nice and clean, good size rooms, and the staff is very sweet.

The exit at the rear of the building had doors difficult to open and the foyer was dirty. The breakfast area was too confining making it difficult to maneuver.

The comforter in the bed was too heavy and too warm.
I chose your hotel because of the hot tub and pool. Hot tub rim and timer needs repair.

Location was perfect for our ski trip to Boyne Highlands and Boyne Mountain since we planned to visit both resorts and this hotel was conveniently located between the two and in lovely Petoskey with its great dining options. We also enjoyed the hot tub and pool after skiing. Definitely will stay here again on our next Boyne ski trip!

I didn’t like the fact that I couldn’t connect to the Wi-Fi with my computer. I needed to communicate, and was unable to check my inbox nor send communications. The furnace was loud and awaken me almost every time it started up.
The location is just what we needed and the breakfast was a pleasant combination of our stay. The staff greeted us was exceptional. That staff that said goodbye in the morning, was not as accommodating.
