I did not enjoy the seemingly unpaid internship in hotel management when I had to strip the bed and collect the laundry, then take out the garbage from the room. It’s a decent, basic, clean place, but we’re paying top dollar in high season for minimal accommodations. I wish I knew this was part of the deal ahead of time. It felt more like and Airbnb then a motel. I had a great time in the area and probably visit your place again, but did not enjoy this part of the stay. Thanks.

It was like an Airbnb. I wouldn’t have booked it knowing that. There was no staff in the office. No one answered the phone leading up to my stay. The grounds had a deck with chairs but the grounds were not kept up. Not very attractive. The previous owners knew how to run a property. I don’t appreciate having to leave a $100 deposit for a room. I checked out Sunday and it it is now Friday and haven’t received a refund yet. I won’t stay here again.

We were surprised by the remote check-in/out experience, were expecting to be able to check out individually and didn't realize that was not possible due to using Booking.com for our reservation. Only suggestion we have is to add keypads to the back doors of each room so they can be secured while using the backyard facilities and breakfast area.

Rooms were well appointed and extremely comfortable. Loved the gathering area in the back of the hotel and while we did not use them, the fire pit, grill and hot tub are nice extras to have!

It is on Blue Star Hwy so there is some traffic noise. It didn't bother me though. I felt the room was very clean but I did notice my feet got black when I walked on the floor with bare feet. A pair of sandals solves that problem. All in all very little to complain about. I will definitely be back. Great job utilizing this property and making it so comfortable and nice.

The grounds in the back are outstanding with a big deck and fire pit. Chairs for each room in the back overlooking the grounds. Room was perfect. Everything you needed including towels for the hot tub. Decent size fridge and microwave was a nice addition. Great value for the money in Saugatuck during the summer. It was a pleasant surprise. I will be back! It is a little ways away from downtown but you can take the InterUrban anywhere if you don't want to drive.

The next room was disturbing, coming in and out slamming the door. Loud cars can also be annoying.

Limited continental breakfast only. You must be there early, or the commercial pastries/muffins are gone. The coffee was scalding. The location was excellent in Douglas, convenient to Saugatuck, restaurants are within walking distance. The back yard provides an area for your dog to do their business. Quiet while we were there. The shower gets hot quickly and there is no need to wait. Rachel at the front desk was genuinely nice and accommodating.

Nothibg we loved everything

Normally we use air b&b for Sagatauk-this was a one night trip and this motel hit it out of the ball park. We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite and loved it. Bed and couch were comfy, clean- no odd smells- quiet- and its right next door to the local animal shelter thrift store. The grounds were taken care of and not a piece of trash in sight.

This property is so unique. It’s an old motel that was completely renovated. The room is small, but totally updated. The grounds have a great deck to have cocktails before you dinner! I would definitely recommend this motel
