That being said the room was tired. The chair and sofa were so soft and had covers on them. The refrigerator made lots of noise so I turned on the box fan which was loud. They need to be replaced. Also they need to bring back breakfast or at least coffee in the lobby. We stayed before covid and it was so much nicer.

The Inn is in a great location and the staff were very welcoming. The mattress and blankets were very comfortable but a few of the pillows were lumpy.

Booked RM 48. Not my favorite. Windows had issues with the opening mechanism, some just missing. The view is a tar roof that is only 3ft from the window. It would be easy for someone to gain access to your room if they wanted. The fridge is in a corner of the room, in the most strange place. Parking can be tight. Heating is weak.

Love the location. It’s an easy walk to all you want to do in Carmel. Clean and most of the time a great stay for a great price.

Nothing against the property, but it felt like Airbnb, which I personally don't like. A single room up creaky stairs but inside was fine. Other accommodations in the area looked the same.

We wanted to stay in Carmel for one night and options were few.

The breakfast nook was a bit crowded, but still worked ok. The step up to the toilet in the second bathroom is a bit dangerous. The door to the master bath from the bedroom sticks and should be planed but the bathroom was very nice and the shower was great.

The Dolores Cottage suited our needs perfectly. My husband and I, both in our 70's, wanted to take my 98 year old mother on a short vacation and not be too isolated. The location and layout was great, with parking next to the cottage. We drove everywhere because Mom cannot walk to far, but it would be ideal for walking all over Carmel. The beds were extremely comfortable.

Really good position. Easy walking distance from the heart of Carmel but quiet and attractively positioned. Parking wasn't an issue - there was unlimited free. parking nearby. The welcome was good and the staff were very helpful. We had one of their smaller rooms but it had everything we needed and was comfortable.

Price, but everything in Carmel is expensive. Wish they had a microwave

The room and inn was nice and very close to the end of the 17 mile drive. I loved the fireplace in the room, but just know it does not warm the place up. They do have a wall heater which we used. There is a mini fridge, but no microwave. Nice that they also had a blowdryer provided.

The hours of the front desk was limited. We didn’t want maid service. We had to look for an employee to get more towels when we left for the day because when we returned front desk is gone. Just plan ahead for towels.

The location was fabulous. It was very close to the downtown area. It was a quiet area. I read reviews on how thin the walls are that people couldn’t sleep. We didn’t have that issue at all. We stayed for 4 nights and slept well. You could hear people at times because walls are thin on all hotels/inns there but when it came to sleeping, all was good. We stayed in Stephenson 3. It was second level which may have helped with noise. It had a view of ocean from the corner on the small upper patio. We loved the Dutch door and kitchenette we had in the room. We made breakfast every morning. The front staff was pleasant. They had an ice machine. It was very clean and we are picky. We didn’t have a parking space with our room. However, it wasn’t a problem. We came on a Saturday which was a little more difficult but all other nights, we got parking right in front of the inn.
