When I asked for Wi Fi I was told there was no wi fi. It was down. I honestly would not have chosen your hotel if I knew you didn’t have wi fi. The coffee at breakfast was Luke warm. I like Dunkin’ Donuts coffee better anyway My desk chair was particularly dirty.

My bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, staff was awesome. Good hot showers, heat lamp in the barhroom.

There is no "marina" anymore because all of the docks were disassembled and stacked nearby on the ground. The name marina is misleading. The entire facility looked dated and in need of being refreshed. Bed was too firm. The curtain for the shower was hung too low. The bathroom was too small. The ceiling fan cover in the bathroom was in pieces on the floor, and the fan was way too noisy to use. The air conditioner outlet constantly blew into the backside of the window curtain, causing the movement of the air to be impeded and the curtain to constantly billow upwards. The drink vending machine on the fourth floor was not properly stocked, and the wrong product was dispensed. It would not accept touchfree payment. I was not allowed a refund at the front desk for the improperly dispensed drink from the vending machine. They told me to call the number on the label affixed to the exterior of the machine. I did, and nobody answered. At times, the interior of the elevator smells like a fish.

The dog-friendly room decor is somewhat dated and dreary but clean. It's probably by design as the wear and tear of canine guests is less noticeable. The dog-free rooms may be more cheerful and attractive.

The most attractive features of this hotel are that it's very dog friendly and within a short drive of the historic downtown of New Bern. It offers a water view and a large grassy area for dog walking.

This was our 3rd or 4th stay en route to Emerald Isle, and we really like the convenient location on the water, an easy walk into town. There are multiple outdoor areas, including a pool; they allow dogs; and it’s pretty easy to park a loaded car right outside your room. The breakfast is fine — though they really need to catch up with the times on coffee: Who uses powdered creamer these days?? — and our 4th floor king room was quite comfortable. Our kids’ first-floor room had many flying bugs and a bit of that dank smell that also permeates the lobby and the stairwells. The room itself was also in worse shape (though to be fair it was a pet room). Nonetheless, the sheets were clean and they slept well. Overall, the hotel is kind of what you expect for a budget hotel. The problem is they don’t charge budget prices anymore. We paid $150 for the king and $190 for the pet room. At that rate, we’ll be checking out the options across the river right in town.

The price for similar room dropped by 25% few days before our stay. Since we just needed a place to park ourselves overnight, it was irritating to pay the higher rate.

Breakfast was a little bit of a disappointment. They use powdered eggs which are not the best tasting. My partner wanted pancakes but they only had waffle makers, maybe have 1pancake and 1 waffle maker. The only fruit available were bananas. Overall breakfast wasn't the best but it was just "ok".

I needed a handicap accessible restroom and it was large and roomy to accommodate my wheelchair. The bed was comfortable and we had a view of the water.

Although, the exterior of the hotel gave it a new appearance, the interior rooms had a much older appearance. The bathroom was small and the heating/ cooling system was outdated.

the hotel is being remodeled, not sure if our room already has been; but the bathroom needs a makeover. the room also was not clean, found empty soda can on floor and carpet needed to be vacuumed, probably why they missed the empty soda can. the tv was pathetic with the poor picture quality, seriously it was blurry. tvs are so cheap at least upgrade to 720! I normally don't care about tv but it was the hockey playoff game. go canes!!

great location, nice that it is on the water, very walkable which is what we wanted. quiet hotel, no road noise and easy to access off highway.

The breakfast was so so at best. I ate there 2 times. Fruit was available, bananas only and 30 of 30 were Brown. Eggs tasted like right out of a box.

Walls are very thin- my kids and I could hear the couple in the next room who made no attempt to be quiet. Very outdated.
