There was not enough duvet and the TV was not working when we arrived. The staff was responsive to our request but it was late of the day so no one was able to send what we need to the apartment

The bathroom was very small and it had no medicine cabinet. There was no convenient place to keep one's toiletries in the bathroom. And, despite the fact that we booked the place for seven days, we were only provide with one set of towels and wash cloths. When asked from fresh towels, we learned that there would be a $25.00 additional change for a fresh set of towels.

The location was perfect: it was approximately two blocks from the Hynes Convention Center. It is adjacent to the MBTA Green Line train station at Copley. The beds were comfortable. And, the HVAC system was efficient and quiet and kept the place nice and cool.

As for most buildings like this in Boston, there is no elevator. This was fine with us, but it’s something to keep in mind if you have limited mobility or large, heavy luggage. There is no luggage storage available, which is common for vacation rentals, but not the same as for a hotel and that’s something else to keep in mind. I found the $300 security hold to be excessive, but I guess if that helps to keep the per-night rate low, it’s an acceptable trade off.

I rented this for my 18-year old niece while she visited town. She liked the location, said it was easy to find and near everything (including a small grocery store next door, a pharmacy across the street, and many restaurants). She thought the shower was really nice, and she felt secure with the double entrance lock and door lock. There is a lot of closet space, which could be nice if you’re staying for a while.

I didn’t like they we were only provided two towels for two people for ten days.

The location was perfect! The property was perfect size for two people and having a kitchen was really helpful for our longer term stay.

There was no option for luggage storage, which was only made clear a couple of days before the trip. This should be boldly stated on the listing.

It’s my 3rd time staying with Maverick, and I think it says a lot. First, the location is great: all restaurants and shops you can imagine are located on the same street; metro stations, library, river, and parks are a few minutes away! Second, the interiors are very basic, but the rooms have everything you might need, plus they are always clean. Well done, Maverick team, and I’m looking forward to staying with you next time I’m in Boston!

When’s the last time you paid to do your own laundry in a hosted stay? Yes, they offer a washer/dryer. It is shared and only takes quarters. The local merchants, when I placed laundry detergent on the counter, replied with “we don’t give change.” There’s nowhere to get change. I tried buying small items one at a time at the CVS until I just gave up. The “hosts’” response was to tell me to read the posting more closely. I asked if I could complain, and he said to post my complaints to Booking dot com. So… This is a motel-style fee structure but worse. They want $50 for housekeeping and $25 for towels. The low price is a smokescreen. If you want to get nickel-and-dimed and rude hosts, stay here. Don’t expect any hospitality. Or favors.

The fact that concierge NEVER called us back, therefore we were unable to get into the room. That we had to find and pay for a hotel at $300 a night. That Maverick Suites would not give us a full refund or bother to reply to my email (sent to them a month ago). That's what we didn't like. Had they called us back to help with the code we wouldn't have a problem and I wouldn't leave a bad review. If a traveler needs assistance when traveling across the country,don't bank on it.
