Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Very old and outdated. Room was dirty and the sheets were colored a soft yellow hue when they were supposed to be white.

Overall good value
Staff was exceptionally nice. The front desk, young girl was very attentive and helpful. They gave us extra bathroom essentials. Thank you for that.

Room was not as clean as it could be when I first arrived. Carpet and curtains were stained and quite old. You have to ask for your bed to be made each day, which I did twice, but it wasn’t done either time despite my asking.
Good location, quiet, friendly staff, decent breakfast selection, comfortable bed, good shower. My room was available for me to check in around 11am, earlier than I expected.

The bathroom was a little bit small, but is not a huge problem...
The breakfast was divine, lovely location so we went walking to the main historical places and it was easy to get public transport. Also the staffs were very friendly

The room smelled slightly like cigarette, which did not disturb us but could be important to other visitors. We would appreciate the use of permanent breakfast tableware instead of disposable ones.
The staff at reception was very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is great to access most of the touristic spots by feet. The breakfast was simple and good. The room was quiet although located above a busy street.

The bathroom was dirty, the tapestry was peeling off the walls. Almost 200 dollars for one night’s stay, yet the standard of the room was not matching with that price. I messaged the hotel 2 days prior on Booking to tell them my partner would arrive before me and to let him check in (the room was in my name). They didn’t reply and they didn’t let my partner check in.
Great location, luggage storage available, coffee and iced water in the lobby, breakfast included.

There was a mouse in my room on 4th floor, so girl at the reception has offered another room, on the 8th floor, and extended my stay after chek out time for several hours as a compensation for the inconvenience.

The parking situation was difficult. You have to park in a garage three blocks down. Also, on an aside, the manager needs some basic social skills. I'm sure it's very stressful, but there's such a thing as common grace.
Value, and the two young women at the desk were very kind and professional. It was also a nice view on the 8th floor! Would stay here again!

Room was next to the front desk, first floor, really noisy, especially in the morning around 7-8 AM. Third day of breakfast arrived 40 minutes before breakfast was closing, there was almost nothing left.
It is a well situated Hotel.

The TV in the fitness center does not work- at least I could not figure out how to turn it on. There were no wet wipes for me to wipe down the treadmill when I was finished, and I couldn’t get the water dispenser to work. I am glad there is a fitness center, because it was raining, but you should address these things.
The front desk staff people were helpful and personable. Free breakfast is always welcome
