We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesBreakfast. The tables and chairs in the dining area were all rickety and wobbly! They were rocking all over the place while we were trying to eat. When we arrived the hot foods were cold, looked like a small mistake since the server was not plugged in.
The room was clean and comfy. Loved the sitting area within the room. My kids loved the entry!! They went on and on about the chandelier and how it made the lobby look very fancy.

United StatesThe sofa was old and worn to the point of having a significant chunk of material gouged out of it. There was no fan in the bathroom. The hotel is in the midst of being renovated, which I was not previously informed about. The odors from paint and silicone were a bit overwelming.
Breakfast was fine and plentiful. Room was reasonably furnished. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable.

The breakfast was delicious and hot. The key card for one of the rooms kept having to be remade, which was not good. The pool area was closed, we were disappointed about that being that it was specified when we booked.

Sink drained slowly. Breakfast was fine, not great. Paid $150 for the night, about what I expected. None of the negatives the evening before at your competitors inn, where I paid $185. This is an example of you get what you pay for; check the budget and decide where to stay.
