Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWe were unfortunately bitten by fleas whilst staying here. It is one thing to allow some to bring their pets, but totally another to expect non-pet owners to be subject to dog parasites. From now on, we will never book into *any* hotel that accepts the pets of other persons. PS: We know that the carabid ground beetles there are harmless, and not cockroaches (because we are entomologists), but think that to be attacked by fleas is just unacceptable.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was well prepared. Nice location away from the city center, we didn't hear traffic noise either.

United States of AmericaThe booking.com rate of $135 night was higher than what they were offering with direct book of $120 night, due to them not being able to offer breakfast. Booking.com should adjust their rates accordingly.
Bed and sinks and AC were clean and grounds were pretty with working pool.

United States of AmericaThe "breakfast" was one type of generic granola bar, and a "juice" dispenser(gross juice). I was in the lobby at 9:06 (Breakfast ends at 9), the staff were rude when I tried the machine. Really it's too much to keep the machine on and the single granola bars all day or even until 10:00. what a joke.
The showers were hot and had a good shower head. The bed was comfortable. Everything else was garbage.

United States of AmericaDefinitely not the 2 women that worked in the evening. (I think 1 was in training, so she wasn't to blame), but the girl that was there with her was terriblely rude and unfriendly. I've have never been treated like this anywhere, especially in my hometown. I am a hotel manager at a 5 star hotel, and my staff nor myself have ever treated anyone like that, ESPECIALLY to people that live around here. (Its called hospitality marketing, or for the girl behind the desk I'll simplify it for you, word of mouth) A lot of people like myself are too busy and can't afford to be far away from their jobs (or home)and enjoy nice simple "stay-cations" , and until recently this was my go to. I always left my room cleaner than what I found it, and also tipped the cleaners. I worked at this Days Inn many, many years ago, and the owner then (not sure if it's the same one) would have never treated anyone this way. I also want it to be known, again, I have stayed here recently a few times, actually, but now I'll be taking my business to Hillside Motel or to the Mimslyn Inn, I'll be letting others know, and will never recommend this place like I have many times in the past.
That it is near my home and work and has a pool.... that I never got to use.. and the fact there are rooms with jacuzzi in them.

United States of AmericaAbsolutely outrageous and dirty property. Look at my photo. I was lucky to have a lint roller with me because the sheets were dirty. Nobody seemed to have them cleaned after the previous stay. Hair, hair and hair everywhere on the carpet. I should mention that there are no insects, though. Bathroom drain is not working properly, very poor ventilation inside, other facilities are dated as well. I would've said that this property is good for a day or two if you are visiting the Shenandoah National Park, however I won't. They don't seem to clean their rooms. 100 USD a night to have hair on your bed is outragous.
The only thing good about this place is its location. Very close to restaurants, Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park.

United States of AmericaIt was so outdated and felt dirty even though it was cleaned. Mattresses were hard. Pillows weren't even full length. Comforter was more like a thin quilt. Breakfast to go was only one option of a granola bar and they ran out quick. TV picture was fuzzy.
View was nice.

United States of AmericaSo, there was a gross stain on the bed skirt, looked like vomit, and nothing was done about it when i brought it to the owners attention. The bathroom was freezing, no matter how high the heat was. I couldn't find the switch to turn on the ventilation, so it stayed ice cold. The continental breakfast is a bold faced lie. It's coffee, juice & granola bar from Costco. If you stay here, please be kind to the lady at the front desk. None of these issues are her fault. Just don't expect anything more from your room than a place to sleep.
The best part of this place is the lady at the front desk. She is so sweet and makes you feel so welcome. It was close to the Luray caverns, but then again, so is every other hotel/motel/inn in the town.
