Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of Americai think there was something wrong with the showers. the water was boiling hot. at the coldest setting the water came out steaming, it was unbearable to take a shower... very uncomfortable. the sink also had the same issues we couldn't even wash our hands my hands were so red after washing them it was seriously so hot. I love warm showers, but it was seriously unbearable

United KingdomNo information was provided at check-in about complimentary evening snacks or drink (found out much later, and it was too late to benefit from as I stayed for one night only).. No welcome cookie provided as mentioned by other guests. Check-in was cold. As a first-time guest at the hotel, I didn't feel welcomed by reception staff. Their hospitality skills could do with improvement.
The location was excellent. The rooftop bar has a view of the Empire State Building. The room was small but comfortable. No complimentary bottled water is provided in the room. Toiletries are (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and lotion) provided.

EstoniaCleaning was inconsistent. Some days there was no cleaning at all and floors are definitely not hoovered daily. We had a struggle with the quilt cover, first time see to flat sheets covering the quilt in stead of proper cover 😄
The hotel is located on the middle of most of the activities. Really close to Penn Station, it never took more than 4 stops to get were we needed to go. Many places around to eat. If you staying at this hotel you must go and try best bagels, 5 minutes away and don’t be scared of the queue it moves really quickly. Resection team was amazing and really helpful!

United KingdomNothing about the hotel itself, however outside of the hotel were a lot of people just hanging around, if I were to go back again I would probably stay in downtown Manhattan away from the crowds.
The bed was super comfortable, the location for access to main tourist areas and transit to the airport was good. The staff at reception were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the facilities were pretty good.

8th Avenue can get a little rough at night but overall it was a handy place to be for getting around the whole city

United KingdomThe only slight criticism I had was our room was nearing on too small for our travels. But I say this mindful that space doesn't come naturally to New York so it's not a complaint as such. I just think that we struggled to 'unpack' with the space and wardrobe space available for our 7 day stay in NY, we could have done with more hangers in the wardrobe, a bigger wardrobe, space under the bed even would have helped for tucking our suitcases out of the way instead of blocking our path to one side of the room. But it's a small thing in comparison and we did love our stay!
My partner and I took a trip of a lifetime to the US, and our first trip was NY where we stayed at the Hilton. We had a comfortable stay, it was clean, location was incredible for everything, access to the subway was fab.

United KingdomRoom was a little cramped for two people plus luggage but hey this is NYC, we didn't spend enough time on the room for this to become a major issue for us.
Welcoming and friendly staff made checking in and out very easy, they also gave us each a warm cookie each on arrival which were heavenly. Security deposit taken for the room on check-in which was refunded to my card in full within minutes of checking out. Facilities were clean and well maintained, the view from my room was gorgeous.
