Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaAll good.
We loved this place! Close to downtown so easy to get to restaurants nearby, yet just enough out of the center to be quiet. The room was comfortable and grounds were great for spending time outside and relaxing.

Irelandwas happy with everything.
The accomodation experience is superbly well looked after. We got clear instructions all along and when there were issues we had instant responses from a nice man named Daniel on whatsapp who went out of his way to solve problems.

United States of AmericaThe only thing I didn't care for was the QR codes for everything. Learn how to use the TV - here's a QR code. Hook up to WIFI? - QR Code. A note would have been sufficient because I really hate QR codes. The overwhelming smell of Fabuloso - I'm overly sensitive to cleaners etc. though. I also was not entirely sure about what to do for check out.
The El Amador is a nice little hidden gem near downtown. Everything was very clean and the communication was great! The courtyard is nice and clean with spots to just hang out and relax. I would not hesitate to send friends or family here to stay. Everything looks like it was fairly recently built and appears pretty solid. The rooms have adequate space and there aren't a ton of knick-knacks taking up space to that was nice. The linens were all clean and tidy - The soap was free of perfumes and dyes so that was also very nice since I'm allergic to most things.

AustraliaIts not a hotel, so there's no place to leave your luggage before the afternoon checkin. There was no safe in the room. The operators offered to install one, however it never happened during my stay. There was no daily servicing. (or if you required it then there was an extra charge)
Location was very close to main tram line. Each room is a self contained unit opening up to the shared landscaped area.

United States of AmericaThere was no comfortable place to sit in the room, other than the bed. The bed was very tall and could have benefited from a stool on one side. It was challenging to get on and off the bed for someone short.
Love the historic charm and character of the inn; comfortable bed, roomy bathroom and wonderful outdoor spaces. It was convenient to downtown.

United States of AmericaWould have liked a bigger bathroom. Pedestal sink in bedroom was a bit inconvenient and separate room for toilet and shower are small. A king size bed would also be better. The space was big enough for one.
The Downtown Suite is an apartment with full size kitchen, dining room, living room and bedroom with attached bath. Very spacious with lots of antiques. Excellent location for the Tucson Jazz Festival events.

United States of AmericaNo complaints.
LOVED the property layout. Our room was a large bedroom with attached bathroom. Beautifully decorated and maintained at a high standard. Common area had at least two firepits, lots of seating available and beautifully decorated. There was a grill available as well. Private parking area, well-lit and secure. Wifi available on premises. Very close to downtown, walking distance to Rialto Theatre.

United States of AmericaThe only issue, and it was a minor one, was there was no heating in the bathroom. It would have have been nice to have some way to heat the bathroom other than leaving the bathroom door open. But this did not detract from the five out of five rating.
Everything about El Amador was excellent-location, price, cleanliness, security, extras, the decor, the fire pit, etc. The inn is within four minutes of walking along the famous Congress Street shopping/dining area. The attentiveness of the staff was wonderful. The TV went out on Friday night at 920pm during a movie. The call to the front desk was immediately picked up and within 3 minutes a staff member showed up to the room, did some trouble shooting and had the TV back to normal by 930pm. I highly recommend this inn to anyone and I will always use El Amador when I am in Tucson.
