everything except the uncertainty of being able to verbally confirm our reservation prior to arriving (late).

the most lovely property with all the necessities along the water. the vibe of the redwoods and cabin was so special! very clean and comfortable! my kids really enjoyed swimming in the river and picking blackberries. only thing is that if you book later in the day and arrive after 3 the office is closed. booked through booking.com fyi. we arrived at 6pm and there was no one in the office and although we received a confirmation email with info letting us know that the registration papers and key that were supposed to avail outside the office for us were not there. a slight moment of panic with 2 little kids in the car and darkness descending. we had been trying to call since 4pm on our drive there, probably 20x, but no one answering the phone. I did alert the owner to maybe having a different # avail no one was around luckily they leave an emergency contact list outside the office so we were able to reach the owner who came down asap to check us in. our room had mistakingly not been cleaned yet even though it was 6pm, so she was king enough to upgraded us from cabin 6 to cabin 10, which had more space and an additional bedroom, which was so appreciated! this is a very special place, highly recommend but def try to to reach via phone before arriving to confirm your reservation. especially if booking late or through a 2nd party. I did alert the owner to maybe having a different # avail for guests to call to confirm the reservation.

Our first visit here. Beautiful setting! Very happy with the particular cabin we chose. I think we would like to do this exact cabin again! Maybe also come during a different season just to see what it’s like.

The cabin unfortunately has very thin walls - leaving us to listen to the family next door and their screaming children for most of our stay.

The river access, the rustic feel of the cabin, how clean everything was, and the location proximity to Felton!

All was fantastic. loved the serenity and that our cabin was close to the river. My friend who had a twin mattress felt it was uncomfortable-- too thin. My mattress on the queen bed was very comfortable.

Lovely cabin in the woods for my family who were attending a wedding over the weekend. Our kids had such fun in the river, playing volleyball, and just enjoying nature.

The futon sofa was not very comfortable as a sofa but i just piled pillows behind my back.

So cozy and comfortable! Cabin was spotless. Many amenities such as dishes and cookware. Shampoo, etc in the bathroom. Shower was great; plenty of hot water and good water pressure.

The furniture and picnic table were very low in our cabin, but it was a minor inconvenience. From the car to the porch is very dark. It would be awesome if they could shed some light in those spots.

We stayed in cabin 4. Loved the location. The staff that runs the place are helpful. I don't know how they do it, they keep the cabins and grounds in excellent condition. There is barely a leaf on the ground. The cabins fabulous and neat as a pin. We will be back probably often. .

A cold water on arrival would have been just a nice addition. The porch and picnic tables were a little dusty but inside was 5*. The lighting is a mixture of moody (gorgeous lamps) and then too bright kitchen area, its a darker cabin so it's hard to get right and at night very bright when eating. We were scared of the furnace and did get a little cold but maybe just different for us from the UK! Blankets were perfect and room warm at night without it.

Exactly how we pictured the stay , rustic cosy cabin updated just enough like the shower cubicle all functioning applicances good pans etc but love the vintage details (kitchen tiles) and WOW a whistling kettle (thank you from us Brits), Cabin 3 was actually perfectly tucked out the way by the river between amazing redwoods. The site is perfect for walks to Henry Cowell hikes although we didn't brave crossing the river to it; just listened to the water whilst wrapped in my blanket drinking tea on the deck. One evening we did the HC redwood loop the next day we headed all the way through to the top of the hills what amazing views and secenery on sandy trails and lovely birds. Everything you need in the cabin to feel like home and a very comfy bed and perfect stop on our californian tour to see even more redwoods and cabin in the redwoods was just amazing. It would be great if they had a basic convenience store that sold s’mores stuff, toiletries, lighters, drinks etc. I know this place is not about amenities, but they could run it off of a monthly Costco trip and make a good profit and serve their guests better!

I love this place. It’s rustic and basic, so of people expect “resort” they will be disappointed. To me it’s about unplugging, and connecting with nature.

The only thing that keeps us from giving this a 10 is that it would have been ice if we'd known to bring our own coffee and filters. There's a coffee pot but no supplies. It's a couple of miles to a store or coffee shop, so it would have been nice to know that in advance. Otherwise we loved the place.

It is amazing to be right in the middle of magnificent redwoods and right on a small river. We love the well maintained old motel cabin look of the place.

The location. The beauty around the cabins. The river flowing by. The quietness to hear nature sounds. Breathing clean air.

Sadly the twin bed I slept on was very hard to sleep on as there was no padding and I was sleeping directly on the springs. I felt every piece of metal when I would move or roll over.

Location. Very serene and tranquil. The sound of the River was amazing. Our cottage was very cozy.

The place was soooo CLEAN!! The grounds were absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The pink camellias were blooming all over the property!

The cutest little cabins! Grounds were beautiful and lush. Staff was very helpful and friendly! River runs right behind the site. Would love to stay longer next time!
