Breakfast and room decor

Room decor is a bit tired and in need of refresh. Breakfast was among the less appealing hotel buffets I've had in recent trips.

Our room was a little dirty. There was a cup/bottle ring on the floor next to the bed, hair in the fridge, and the faucet knob in the bathroom sink was not only dirty but broken. The older gentleman who checked us in was not very welcoming or friendly.

We loved the location and the breakfast. The waitresses at the breakfast were very nice and friendly. We also loved the greenery and the little ponds in the lobby area.

The heater in the room was noisy so I had to shut it off so I could sleep

The way that the hotel was advertised on Booking made it seem like there was a complimentary breakfast everyday, not just 1 day. Because I booked the trip on a 3rd party website, they were not aware that I was bringing my dog, even though I mentioned it everywhere I could- so I had an additional charge that I was not expecting. I understood why I was being charged, I just thought I should have known about it before I got there.

The complimentary breakfast was very nice, and the pool area was great! The dog walk along the back of the Inn was well lit and it felt very safe. It was also great to see how close the airport was in proximity to the hotel. The neighboring town, White River Junction, (although in Vermont) was only a 5 minute car ride away and had some wonderful little shops and delicious restaurants.

The rooms were really outdated. Mattresses were really hard. The pool was beautiful but the water was really cloudy.

Room needs a little updating. Room was clean but curtains were very stained and dirty. Bathroom could use a deep clean. Cracks, corners and crevices in the bathroom were a little dirty.

The pool area is very nice and clean. Love the lobby and diner decor. Decent free breakfast. Friendly staff. Comfy beds.

No elevator to the actual floor we were on. The room we were in needed updating with a leak from the heat/AC unit and cracked tiles on the bathroom floor. The hair dryer attached to the wall was old style and didn’t work and the outlet for it wasn’t flush with the wall with a cracked switch plate. Looked “tired”.

Location was excellent for our visits to Quechee and Woodstock. Very pretty lobby and the real fire in the fireplace was great. Waterfall was lovely and the parking was easy. The towels and the bedding were very nice and the room was cleaned and made up each day of our 3 day stay. Hot breakfast was nice each morning. The room was quiet even though the hotel was pretty full.

Up charge for buffet. Other hotels offer same food for free. Lacking decent options for Vegan selections. At least have real oatmeal instead of packaged.
