Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe room was a tad on the small side for a King size bed. The bathroom was also quite tight (door opened inward, very close to hitting the toilet). Not big deals though.
Nice quiet and clean room. The bar/restaurant on the roof (The Heights) was a nice place to get a couple of drinks and a pizza.

United StatesThe service at the front desk was some of the rudest we've ever experienced. We walked up to the desk (no other guests were checking in at the time) and said "hi, how are you!" No response from either person at the desk. Then one of them barked, "I need an ID." So I provided the ID, and then they rudely asked for a credit card. They gave us our room keys and said, "Elevator's around the corner." We were both confused by the rudeness, considering we always try to be friendly and polite. Unfortunately, when we got to our room, our keys wouldn't work, so we had to go back down to deal with the desk staff again. This time, there was a third person there who said the door was likely dead and it'd be faster to switch our room. So the same person as before got new room keys and gave them to us without saying a word. Very strange, borderline hostile service.
The room itself was nice. Location was a bit far from the more lively part of town, but still walkable. The rooftop bar/restaurant was very nice. Had a good vibe and the first drink we ordered was delicious (skip the espresso martini, though. That was not great.)

United StatesThe room was comfortable and quiet. The staff was friendly. Food in the restaurant downstairs was fine, nothing special. Fairly standard for a hotel of this quality. The upstairs bar had a lovely view.

United StatesI was disappointed with The Heights. After a long day of travel, I hoped for a hearty dinner. The menu was very limited and mostly bar food. There wasn't an actual meal and sides for sandwiches were not included. In all fairness, the pizzas looked good but I had pizza for lunch so it really wasn't an option for me which is not the fault of the restaurant. The view is beautiful out on the patio and we enjoyed having a glass of wine, watching the sunset over the river and warming up around the firepit. The service was good, our server was new so we expected we would need a little patience, which is fine. The room was really nice but the bathroom was disappointing, not any nicer than a 2.5 star hotel like Fairfield Inn. There was no exhaust fan and the safety bar was installed at the wrong end of the shower. You would need to squeeze between the toilet and shower to enter using the bar which is awkward. The construction downtown made it difficult to find the hotel and the entrance using GPS. It might be good for the hotel website to give clear directions while road construction is going on.
The Brim exceeded expectations. The food was delicious and hearty. I was pleased with the breakfast menu that included items beyond your basic eggs, sausage and toast. I'm not really a breakfast person but needed a meal before my long drive home. The service was excellent. The room was nice and beds were comfortable. The city is working on a Riverwalk which will be outside the hotel. I would love to come back in a year or so and see how it turned out. I will, however, plan dinner elsewhere (see below.)
